Two things that strike me on the 1991 video. 1, obviously how easily Chris Gardner made those field goals. They had plenty of distance. 2, you wonder why they put the color to wear on the ticket. Look at that crowd, there's as many blue shirts as any other color.

So what you're saying

is we need to start putting the tent colors for junction tailgates on the tickets, too?

There is no reason EVER to wear a blue shirt to a State game. Its not that hard to wear either maroon or white or some mix combination of both.

Ive neer understood that.

Chris Gardner had the strongest leg I've ever seen for a kicker at MSU

His kicks had a ridiculous trajectory. Even if he missed the kick, there was never a question to try for a 40-50 yard field goal with him.

They used to show that last sack in '91, for years, on CNN Headline News every 30 minutes at 20 and 50 past the hour on the lead-in to the sports update. At the time, that win was considered a top 2-3 of all time victory by a lot of the old timers along with Bama '80 and Army in (I think) '35.

Good stuff.

It was late summer of 1991...everyone had Braves Fever!

I actually remember as a 9 year old my dad got onto before we left the house cause I wanted to wear my Braves shirt.

If Garner were a little more accurate he would have had a great NFL career

He had a Janikowksi leg. I watched the 1992 MSU-Florida game on YouTube recently and he had a 47 yard field goal that went way over the top of the upright. It had at least 65 yards of distance on it. He wasn't terribly accurate, but he had a howitzer for a leg.

91: 2 things.... Sleepy was good and how good would he have been without the injury in 92. And, how huge was that tackle on the LB interception.

Somebody get Mullen a Tiger and a knife.
And those are the best white uniforms we ever had, period.

Whoever put these on YouTube thanks so much. These brought back so many memories of those first few seasons with the Kang. If you have the whole games load them up.

I was in the student section for the '91 game...Great memories.

Some backup Texas LB taunted the students after their interception, and we abused that guy for hours. He kept coming back for more throughout the game.

How can you have a highlight without Mike "dirty" James

Whoever put these on YouTube thanks so much. These brought back so many memories of those first few seasons with the Kang. If you have the whole games load them up.

Most underrated play of the Kang's career. I'll sponsor anyone's chat for life if they can land that one on YouTube.

To be fair, those are the Adidas templates. But with that being said, Alabama coaches aren't wearing goofy looking coaches polo templates.
