Hard to tell. Hayesville will finish last and will get beat by 4 or more scores in every conference game. I wouldn’t be crowning a conference champ just yet.

I still got Murphy at 1st.
Not going to happen unless some things drastically change. Just not good enough defensively, some of it is down to talent but some of it is on the defensive staff. Like I said after Week 1, Watson will have to go out and get his version of Gaither/Nelson this offseason if this is going to work out long term, point blank.

Offense has a lot of talent and Watson and Co. have done a good job with them but QB has not been at his best the last two games, especially tonight, floating the ball and missing high. I'm not worried about him though, I believe he'll get it straightened out. The defense is a different story though, there's been glimpses of competency at times but it never sustains. We saw this same movie defensively 15 years ago and we all know how it ended, it is what it is. Watson was left with virtually no time to assemble a full staff given the timing of Gentry's retirement announcement, so he started behind the 8 ball from the jump. I will withhold judgement until he's had the opportunity to bring a coach or two of his choosing into the fold this offseason.

If I had to guess we probably put the ball on the ground 20+ times this season.
Some things you say I’m right on board with. Others I think you’re ridiculous. I’m not counting Murphy out. But it’s obvious they have issues….

We have issues too.
The SMC is down.

The next two seasons Robbinsville will be a load for any 1a team if the fumbles get taken care of.

Also QB needs to play more defense.

Conference is too early to call. Need to see Andrews against a good defense. Really not sure if Robbinsville is good, bad, or just ok. Might clear up a little next week when Robbinsville travels to Cherokee
Robbinsville is a good football team. Just because they have 2 losses doesn’t mean they aren’t good. Beating Asheville and a 5a from Tennessee and losing close to both Brevard and Broome….. none of these games were cupcakes.

If I’m not mistake we lost 5+ fumbles in both losses. Sloppy play has to be corrected. I’m sure the QB will play defense in conference play. No reason to risk injury for games that doesn’t really matter

Andrews likes to run. Nobody has run on Robbinsville other than a scrambling qb..Andrews 160 lb lineman will not push Robbinsville around. Same song as last year. Andrews backs were averaging almost 200 yds each per game. They ended up with 30 yds between them both. It's gonna come down to the big 3 again.

Nobody was crowning a champion…… Andrews play 1 series in the second half with their starting backs. It could have been 60-7 had they wanted it to….

I’m not arguing that it could have been worse. I think the rest of the conference will do the same to Hayesville. It’s too early to tell. The rville vs Cherokee and Andrews vs Swain game next week will tell a lot

I don’t think you understand what kind of runner the Martin kid is…. I’m a knight through and through but people better put a little respect on Andrews name this year or it’ll come back to bite them.

I know exactly the kind of runner he is. And I know exactly the kind of linebackers Adams , Williams , Brooms and Tolbert are.

Everyone says this is the Andrews team that won JVs but unless I'm mistaken next year is the JV championship team.
I think it was Murphy that won it and Robbinsville was second. I think Swain was the pre season favorite but come up short.

Anyone know how many yards Adams had.

Asheville beat Reynolds tonight 6-5.
Asheville should be the MAC champions unless they slip up. Can't wait for the game at Asheville next year.

For Andrews it will all come down to the line continuing to outplay bigger lines. If they do, there is a high probability that they win the conference. And as far as the Martin kid goes, a team better have four solid defensive backs because one or two ain't gonna stop him. And the kicker is, teams can't focus solely on him or weaver will run them off the field. The question mark for the Cats is still a matter of how our line matches up. As far as our running backs, it's not even a question. They're simply the best two backs in the conference. If Martin would have been healthy and running the ball for us last year, a good season could have been a great one. The young man is just a beast. If memory serves me correctly, two years ago on JV some knight fans were saying the same thing about the Martin kid not doing anything against them, and how their stud was gonna run over every one. We all know how that worked out. We may not win conference, we may not beat a team as good as the knights, and that's ok. But as far as the Martin kid being the alpha back of the conference, it's the same story just a different year.
How many yards does the Martin kid have this year? I haven’t seen any stats

I can promise you the best back in this conference is wearing Black and Silver. He had well over 200 yards tonight and his yardage is not coming against cupcake teams.

I’d just like to know when the last time Andrew’s had a high probability of winning conference? 93’ maybe? They were competitive. They haven’t even sniffed it sense then

Cat Dad said TWO best backs. Adams may indeed be the best back in the conference, but I have to agree with Cat Dad Andrews has the TWO best backs in the conference.
