I’m pretty sure Mississippi didn’t throw one single pass to his side of the field. That’s the ultimate compliment to a DB.Kelly Jones on third team is so dumb my head hurts
In regards to jones, I wouldn’t be shocked to see him have the opportunity to get drafted fairly high.Jones shut down half the field. He will earn every dollar he is NIL’d. Hope it’s us. Thompson is as good a burner as there is in college football. No limit to what NIL can do in one year and I hope we can harvest.

I’m not shocked. The NFL loves corners that are as big as Jones. Just not a ton of 6’4 guys that can play corner as well as Jones can. If he goes and runs a good 40, I wouldn’t be shocked to see him move further up in the first.Mel Kiper says
25. Kelley Jones, CB, Mississippi State*
Height: 6-4 | Weight: 195 | Prev. rank: 17
2025 stats over 11 games: 27 tackles, 11 pass breakups, 2 INTs
Jones can absolutely fly; I think he could end up in the 4.4-second range in the 40-yard dash in the lead-up to the draft, if he declares. But the third-year sophomore also brings terrific length, ball skills and feel for coverage. Jones seems comfortable with his back to the QB, is able to turn to locate the ball in the air and is disruptive at the catch point. And Jones is also a willing tackler in run defense.
Cornerbacks
1. Jermod McCoy, Tennessee
2. Avieon Terrell, Clemson
3. Mansoor Delane, LSU
4. Kelley Jones, Mississippi State
