We were 12-4 and the no 1 seed from the west and Georgia was the last seed out of the east making them an 11 or 12 for the tourney. That was the tornado year tourney making Georgia and Kentucky play Saturday morning with the winner, Georgia having toplay two games in one day, surely we are going to try and run them ragged and press and keep it up tempo to taked advantage of tired legs. Nope, we looked like Norman Dale's team in Hoosiers, walked the ball up the court, no urgency....never understood that. Georgia beat us, 11 seed vs 1 seed.

2002 #3 seed lose to #6 Texas 2nd round
2003 #5 seed lost to #12 Butler 1st round
2004 #2 seed lost to #7 Xavier 2nd Round
2005 #9 seed lost to #1 Duke 2nd round
2008 #8 seed lost to #1 Memphis 2nd round
2009 #12seed lost to #4 Washington

Great Recruiter? ZERO Players in the NBA, with the exception of transfer Lawrence Roberts getting a cup of coffee with Grizzlies, none of his recruits have done anything in the nba...

We were a bubble team a majority of those seasons, which probably ranks us near the 35-40 range I'm guessing. You do realize that the winner of the SWAC gets a bid to the dance, among many other crappy conference winners that we were ranked ahead of.

I was there and yes we played poorly but Georgia also was on a roll. Happens all the time with teams. Still should have beaten them but I find it odd how you forgot the year we beat LSU and Florida back to back to win the SEC tourney in Tampa. And that was an LSU team who had rolled throught the west and Coach34's darling Bruce Pearl. clydefrazier said:

We played essentially 2 gimme games to begin... a VERY bad Georgia team and a pretty bad South Carolina team that somehow finished second in a very bad Eastern division. If there was ever an easy path to the SECT that year, we were on it. LSU was our toughest test and they looked like they didn't care to be there.

To give clydefrazier some much needed credit... that UGA loss was one of the worst performances I've ever seen from our basketball team. You mean to tell me they had just gotten off the floor a few hours before we played them from playing a regulation game and we didn't do anything to take advantage of it? Your precious Stansbury had zero gameplan to take advantage of a tired Georgia team, and they beat us. I was able to go to that game and he is exactly right... zero preparedness and zero heart in the conference semi-finals. That loss should not have happened and the path to the SECT Championship was even easier that year than it was in 2009.

All that means is three other teams should be embarrassed too. Georgia was horrible that year, well below average that day, but your mancrush managed to be worse. That was one of his "no subs unless I have to" days, as all the starters played more than 33 minutes even though Stewart and Ben were awful. He's coached well in the SEC tournament before, but that day he was useless. And UGA was such a hot team (paging Ronny) that they went into the NCAAs as a 14 and got bounced immediately by Xavier. That tournament had more to do with Georgia getting teams on off days with no crowds than it did them playing well.
