....he hasn't made a post in months, then pops on to make a post that basically gives up all jope in arguably the most hopeful time in modern history at MSU.

...and there are a LOT of people on this board who know him personally and can attest to that, including me. I will defend his "Maroonness" forever. One problem with Arrow is that he loves MSU so much, wants our teams to be winners so badly, he gets very down when we don't. We used to sit together at baseball games and there is no one more animated in his excitement when we did well and lower in his disappointment when we didn't. He was our coaches biggest critic when things didn't go our way and biggest fan when they did. There never seemed to be a middle ground. Eric lives and breathes our athletic teams' success or failure. Anyone who says he is not an MSU fan doesn't know what they are talking about.

I actually look forward to Ole Miss having a great year and finally doing in MSU football once and for all.
Are actually a fan of Mississippi State sports in general, let alone MSU football. No real State fan I know, no matter how positive or negative, would ever say they look forward to Ole Miss having a great year and "doing in" MSU football.. Are you kidding me? That's awful, and I am far from woolish but if that's how you really feel then that's an awful way to view MSU sports and life and general and I feel sorry for you. </div> </div> </div> </td> </tr> </tbody> </table>

also - don't have a GP account, dropped it years ago; name's not even mark (it's an inside joke, don't worry about it).

One big difference is that in the case you mentioned (Michigan), you had players who fit the old system trying to learn and be effective in the new system. This was especially true at QB. Heck the Michigan QB transferred.

At MSU, we have Tyson Lee and Relf who I think fit Mullen's system better than they fit Croom's. If Croom had been an effective coach and had recruited well for the West Coast Offense, we would have a roster full of drop-back quarterbacks and Mullen would be in trouble. However, Croom left a roster of quarterbacks who will actually be better in Mullen's system than Croom's. Therefore, I think we get up to speed a little quicker.

Arrow may be a Bulldog, but it's still baffling to see someone who is supposedly a "true Bulldog" wish success for Ole Miss and hope that they Rebels finally "do in" the Bulldog. Why would a fan of the Bulldogs (true or not) wish for the team he's a fan of to not do well? That makes no sense.
