This class was the one that had 37 players and started the Houston Nutt Rule. This class was ranked higher than ours (but aren't they all). Congrats Black Bears on developing so much of your talent.

And they still managed to win the Egg Bowl by 17 last year as juniors and seniors. What does that say about your team?

Our team is doing fine. After three years of getting *** raped by us, y'all were backed into a corner and had to win. A loss last year would have buried your team for the next decade.

We were overconfident and not prepared for a scrappy little underdog with an unorthodox offense. This year, EVERYBODY will be prepared for Girls Basketball on Grass. FAce it, the only reason your recruiting classes are ranked so high is because your fan base buys more Recruiting subscriptions per capita than anybody else on Earth. You've had "superior" recruiting classes on signing day for the past 50 years...with nothing to show for it.

The only way the university of ole miss will ever win a championship is to learn their role, accept their place, and move to the Sun Belt...or Division I-AA.

Uh, that maybe if we had sat certain of our Jr's and Sr's for younger players, we'd have won by 34 (beat Upig by 31).

Just 34? Don't sell those bench players short now.

I don't follow. You don't think a 34 MOV was possible? I'm not selling the bench players short. I'm trying not to over-sell some of the starters.

Edit: Up to that point, Wallace averaged a little over one touchdown passing a game. He has 5 against State.

That's a 51 point turnaround. Those backups must be pretty damn talented, and Mullen must be getting his coaching tips from David Cutcliffe.

Up to that point, Wallace averaged a little over one touchdown passing a game. He has 5 against State.

Yeah, you should have sat those 2nd round NFL Draft senior corners for those backups that could have prevented all those touchdowns....right?

I was thinking more of sitting those two undrafted safeties.

slow down there Einstein... Are you saying a sophomore QB, in his first year in a new system, got better as the year went on? He ended the season with 10 TDs and almost 1k yards in his last 3 games, one of them being LSU. Just amazing

So '13 isn't the year either since Nickoe will still be starting. Don't worry, in '14 your 3 year starting safety will be gone too! Then those talented kids that Mullen has been saving for year 6 will be unleashed!

I'll give them credit. They played harder and wanted the game more than us. If we play with that intensity this year, we can expect no more than 4 or 5 wins.

Okay, okay, I admit that I forgot that Wallace played for Malzahn for one year when Malzahn was coaching Arkansas State.**

I also have to admit that I didn't know that 755 yards was "almost 1K yards". It's all relative I guess.**

While I'm making confession, I must admit that I didn't understand how a quarterback controversy and leading the nation in interceptions equated to getting better as the year went on. But he did win the Conerly trophy and that makes it ALL-right.**

Isn't the year for what? I'm happy with seven wins in '13. Don't get too disappointed if they don't make it to Atlanta.**

I'm sure the NFL gave our (two-year) starting safety a 3rd round grade when he filed papers.** Nickoe is a talented player, don't get me wrong. But in 2012, he under-performed - injury or whatever. (A two-year old knee injury had Merlin benching Griffin when he was clearly our best back.) But if Nickoe plays like 2012, I do expect more of the same.

I'm confused to what you're talking **** about now. Bo beat your teams ***, had more total passing and rushing yards than Tyler, he also had a better QB rating even with all those interceptions. He did all that with a separated shoulder and playing a much tougher schedule. It seems like y'all are more ******** over the Connerly then the Egg Bowl.

You're confused about the question. You can look at the thread. But i'll save you the trouble:

Wallace played great in the Egg Bowl. Put up great numbers. He only threw seven incompletions - 7! But it really surprised me when he had more rushing yards than Tyler.** I never brought Tyler into the argument. If you think Wallace had a better season than Tyler. Okay. If only we had played teams closer, we'd know if Tyler lost close games for us like Wallace lost for TSUN.

I'm just saying that Wallace played better the more his shoulder was separated.**
