I remember going to the Michigan game with a probable BCS bowl game going to the winner. We laid an egg. Drove a long way to go to that game and meet up with some friends who were Mich fans. I recall them calling and wanting to meet up after the game - I was 90 minutes down the road by the time that debacle ended.

I do recall we got a little help from Bauserman earlier in the year

My then-young son was put up on the video boards during a commercial timeout during that game. I doubt he remembers the score, but he certainly does that display. It was a great day all around.

Nebraska got us at the perfect time as MSU had played Ohio State, Michigan, and Wisconsin in the previous 3 contests before that game.

Correct, MSU faced murderers row heading into their game at Nebraska that season. I was happy the Huskers won, but that MSU was beaten up at that time.

A competitor of mine, who she and her husband are Spartan grads and big fans, were pretty unhappy after that game. I rarely say anything to her, but find it pretty funny how she likes to slide past me whenever the Huskers win. Of course she is all smiles and can't wait to talk to me when they win.
