This is why it's so critically important for us to schedule 4 OOC wins... every 17ing year.

Auburn and Arkansas are not going to be good. I think Arkansas is going to be terrible. Those should be wins.

We're going to be good next year. You're hearing it here first......

but I highly doubt anyone will remember it come next fall.

First of all, move Ole Miss to the likely win list. It's at home and we'll be playing on fire. Oklahoma State is a toss up at worst, they are losing tons of talent. Arkansas may be a pretty likely win as well. Auburn at Auburn is definitely a toss up, but I think we beat them too due to a talent advantage - Lemonier going pro plus all their playmakers graduating won't be good for them.

I also think that next year is the year we knock off either LSU or Alabama at home. We'll finally have the line depth to match up with them on both sides.

There you have it. Feel free to disagree, but you will prove yourself to be a dumbass next fall. We'll have the fire back, with absolutely zero expectations next fall. Underdog MSU with a chip on our shoulder, best situation for us. Talking heads will point to losing the WRs and DBs, but they are idiots. I'm right.

edited - plus, we've got ourselves a nice little QB battle in the spring now, which will make them both better.

Goat, I've never wanted you to be right more than I do with this post. I admire the optimism if nothing else.

In year 5 of the Mullen era it's time for him to be getting some wins in the 5 Likely Losses/No Chance games. 5 years with zero top 20 wins is something I would think would be in Croom's resume not Mullen's.

Someone find out what bar this man is at. He has no business driving.

I think Goat just called 10-2 next year.

Not quite 10-2. 7 wins minimum, 10 max. We absolutely will lose at TAM and one of LSU/bammer. Notice I did not call any of them wins, though. Lots can happen, injuries, etc. But we have the potential to be a step up from this year for sure. Plus a whole year to think about the last two games.

This is the most ignorant stat of all. Strictly keeping it theoretically, if we are a Top 25 team, then the numbers say we 'shouldn't' beat a Top 20 team at all, on paper.

Mullen has been very consistent beating the teams that we're better than. Where he needs to get his act together is on the recruiting trail.

Well TAM loses pretty much their entire o-line, so if you are going to go big. Go big.

You can call it whatever the 17 you want but Mullen better start getting some wins vs top 20 teams. The media is already on to it and have been blasting him for it for awhile now. It's only going to get worse till he starts pulling upsets. Again even Croom was able to pull upsets.

Guess I should trade them in as a sure win with Ole Miss, huh. That's probably the only way you wouldn't argue.

Croom also lost to Maine. You seriously just used the media as a backing to your ridiculous argument.

Croom and Mullen each beat exactly 1 team that finished in the top 25: 2007 Auburn and 2010 Florida.

No, go big brother.

I am just saying that if you are going to let them hang out, at least go all the way.

I really do think TAM takes a step back next year. I don't know how JFF makes it through the season upgright if they lose that much on OL.

I am not going to be one of those idiots that says we will never lose to State again. I will leave that kind of stupid stuff for C34. The OM/State game is always going to be tough and most years will be a toss-up based on where the game is played. With that said, Nutt was a dumbass and should have never lost 3 in a row. There is no way the 2008 team should not have been able to nut up and win that game if the Nutt had done a better job.

Not letting anything hang out. Calling it like I see it.

Think you got your years mixed up playa. 2008 was a pretty lopsided win for you guys. Take your Nutt argument elsewhere. We straight beat ya'lls asses from 2009-2011 and left little doubt who was the better team, no 'should have' about it. Sort of similar to what happened in Oxford last year. But see, that's the difference in State folks and Ole Miss folks. We give you credit, you say, 'well we would have beaten if yada yada'.

Sorry, I meant 2009 obviously and sorry I didn't give you enough credit on 2009-2011, but surely you would concede that our 2009 team that won 9 games and a Cotton Bowl was a vastly superior team talent wise. Considering the year b/f we had beaten you 45-0, i don't think you would have been able to overcome that gap in a year. I won't go look it up, but that team had more pros on it then either of our teams combined right now.

And since we have clearly dismissed the pleasantries, I will call it as i see it. You will be lucky to win 6 games next year. You will not beat Ok St, Bama, LSU, SC, or OM. You likely only split Aub/Ark, so you may only get 5.

And before you go all "17 off you bear" on me, let me point out that i have picked you within one game of your overall record over the last two seasons. I even picked your entire schedule correctly last year in the preason and said you would be 7-5 this year, although i did not have the games correct. I along with no one else believed that Arky, UT and Aub would have been as bad as they were, but TAMU stepped up to replace one of them.

Not many thought Ole Miss would recover this quickly from last year either. **** changes.

And I will not berate you for your opinion about our team next year. It is what it is, I don't expect many to agree. I like challenging the established order. I think you'll find that I end up right next fall, but alas we have plenty of time to argue about it and crootin ch'ips and whatever else. Unless the Mayans are just late.

You're the one who kept saying that y'all had Kailo Moore "taken care of" and that Ole Miss fans should just "forget about him," so forgive everyone for not believing anything you say.
