We are in uncharted waters here. I think we should put together a list of what this baseball team and year has been made up of. The moments, players, stories or whatever you think we'd like to read about and remember 25 years from now and longer. My entry is Ross Mitchell. This slow throwing crafty left-hander has been unbelievable this year. With a minuscule 1.nothing ERA and a perfect 13-0 record may we never forget what Ross Mitchell has meant to this baseball team and for MSU.

Guys like Brandon Woodruff, who despite injury, did every thing he could to be out contributing for us this year.

The Bench Mobb. Many guys who will not play professional baseball, but have overwhelmingly accepted their roles on the bench. They may not be in the box score, but they are a HUGE reason we have gone on this streak.

Chad girodo. The guy was perhaps our worst pitcher in '12, but no longer. His emergence down the stretch is probably one of the biggest reasons we'll still be playing Monday night

To his credit, he has always been a situational guy. Cohen and Butch have always had alot of faith in him.

Trey Porter, Sam Frost, Mitch Slaughter and Daryl Norris. They could have been cancers on that bench, but they understood their roles and stood behind their coaches decision.

Luis Pollorena. Five foot seven on top of the mound, maybe shorter in the outfield or pinch running. He is a child leukemia survivor with the biggest heart on the team. I'm not sure he ever passed a kid without giving an autograph or at least a high five. He's been the biggest cheerleader on the team, usually the first one out to chest bump whomever just hit a home run, sometimes wearing a huge curly afro wig, sometimes in an enormous sombrero. He's never walked off of a baseball field without leaving 100% of himself out there, whatever he was asked to do. He's lucky to be alive, and he's lucky to be a college baseball player, and never, not once, not ever does he take a moment of it for granted. He's everything good about baseball, college athletics, and Mississippi State University.

Demarcus Henderson turning it on again in the postseason for the second straight year. Dude is money starting in the last SEC series of the year.

And even though they are obvious choices...you have to talk about Frazier's record hitting year and Renfroe leading the SEC in HR's. Wes Rea's ridiculous plays at first base and his clutch NCAA Tourney hits.

And the arrival and immediate impact of Alex Detz....and eventual huge impact of Brett Pirtle after a slow start.

So many things you want to remember.

And I would put CT Bradford in the category of things we'd like to erase from memory from this season. He has had a rough year, but still had a few moments. And he still has a National Championship series and a Senior year to bounce back....keep an eye on him on Monday and Tuesday. I have a strange feeling that he will be big for us in this Championship.

Even though we still struggled some after this game, but the Sunday game vs lsu was huge. Our senior (graveman) brushing back Katz and then just dominating the tiger lineup gave this team a lot of confidence.

Wes Rea has been an absolute beast this postseason. This can't be stated enough. He is a damn black hole at first base and has been one of the most clutch hitters I've seen in a while. And not that I know very much about baseball at all (and I haven't really seen this mentioned here alot), but the guy has a pretty great ability to hit to the opposite field when need be.

We are covering the players and we should remember the key moments too. Wes Rea getting a huge 2 RBI hit in the 8th vs Oregon State, Trey Porter with a 2 RBI pinch hit vs Indiana and Wes Rea with a catch at 1st from a ball bounced in the dirt by Holder that saved the day and got the final out. Hunter Renfroe with a 3 run bomb vs OSU to put us up 4-0. Chad Girodo being absolutely filthy vs Virginia and Indiana. SPS discovering it's quite the impressive board compared to the crap know as "The Sabre" and "PureOrange" which are still better than UCLA and their lack of a fanbase or any board at all. Finding out that UCLA has 108 National Championships in all sports with zero in baseball, has been to Omaha 5 times with 3 of those in the last 4 years, and has a stadium that holds 1,800.

I said it at the time and I'll say it now... Ben Bracewell's holding the fort in Oxford that allowed us to come back and win that Sunday game. That was the turning point.
