Not for everyone - even some perennial playoffs teams will be missing this year.Damn there's still 7 weeks of the season.
Post openings here
Ok I'll bite on this one...if Naperville North isn't already looking let this be a wake up call!
There's also some on Naz from that side of town. Probably close to the same 3-4 amount. Is the north side of town that barren? I know there are 3-4 kids from that end at Montini, but wow, NC doesn't seem to have much trouble.

I always had the impression NN was the most shielded from demographic change of the big 4. Unless you are talking cricket and tennis.I would think if NN gets a new coach they will get it right this time the new AD was very successful at WWS finding good people. I know ultimately it is the Principals decision but the AD recommendation does matter.
The interesting thing with the Drendal hire was the he got the position over an extremely successful coach from another school with multiple states titles. In fairness to him there are some outside demographic changes that will be a problem for who ever takes over the program.
Hey Clowny isn't about time for WWS to part with their leader? I am hearing some discouraging things from player parents over there. It seems there is a total lack of interest in putting in the hours to prepare the kids for, what is now, possibly the toughest conference in the state.
You thoughts?
I wouldn't be surprised if WWS had a new coach next year since there are many problems with the program right now and Muhitch is already retired from teaching for the last two years. My gut says he is back next year for his final year but hopefully I'm wrong.
No clue who is the next coach at WWS since there is no clear favorite within the school so I think they have to go out and find a coach. The district pays well, has great facilities and it is a name program so they should have plenty of quality applicants for the position.
Tell me this you Private guys...is it better to coach a a suburban school with 2k-4k kids and a deep talent pool, or at a smaller private school?
I'm sure it comes down to the commitment to the program, but overall, are the perks better at Private? Do you get paid more because you are not constrained by the District pay structure?
I know at GW, the union contract sets flat fees for HC of any sport to be something like 18% of salary. Do Private schools generally pay more than that?

Hetlett will leave is he wins state.
I can hear the microphone dropping now.
My sources say the new Benz he is driving was purchased by NN parents as a "birthday gift"
I heard Hetlitt is looking to leave
Lol, I was just kidding (which I'm sure you knew), just wanted to get you guys going.
Doesn't Benet get a lot of kids that would go to Naperville North, granted, most of those kids probably went to private school growing up.I would venture to say that there is certainly talent and players in the hallways...perhaps not all-stars but certainly better than 2-14 in the last two years. It's all about working with what you have and finding the right O&D to run with the players you have. I think it's safe to say with the current results that's just not happening.
The GBW crew will be up in arms if this is accurate.

One year at a school like Taft? Geez that's harsh! Taft isn't Mt Carmel let's be realistic here, there better be some sort of scandal for a school like Taft to fire a coach after 1 year. After a tough season this year in his first year do you think the job at Taft will open up?

The 18% applies to all sanctioned sports as well. So salary is a function of years served and HC spiff is a kicker.Smaller private school is the easiest place to win if there is money pumped into the program. Hardest place to win if there is no money pumped in to the program.
If accurate, 18% of salary is a ton of money for a public school coach. There are very few (but they are out there) private school head coaches that make more money when you include teaching pay than a public school coach.
Private school coaches rarely make more than public school coaches, especially asst. coaches. When I coached at a private school, many of the asst coaches were volunteers.
