Two Heavy Hitters and a Rivalry game to start the season, with back to back games at home against 71st and Pinecrest. Next season is going to be fun!!!

It's never an easy conference, and now we got Britt and 71st. I've said it before and it's nearly impossible, but I'd like to see Richmond and Scotland win single a and aa. Just curious, has a conference ever accomplished that feat?

It was done in 2008 when Richmond beat Jack Britt for the big 4A championship and then 71st beat Byrd for the small 4a crown. All four teams were from the same conference.

Scotland should be favored to win the 4A Championship this year, with Dudley & Charlotte Catholic moving down. Richmond's head coach carousel & football threads, have become bigger than their program. It has put them way behind when it comes to competing for a State Championship. They have absolutely 0 experience in big games. The new coach is not going to get them there. I see another 22 page thread in the near future. Not going to happen anytime soon.

Actually, I'd forgotten about 71st beat Byrd in 2008, but I remember Richmond defeating Britt, twice as a matter of fact under coach bailey, and wouldn't expect Richmond to win it all this year either, however we've seen stranger things. And at the same time, some of the Scotland faithful picked their team to win state titles every since Bailey came there even before game one... just never can tell. Maybe since the competition has died down some Bailey might get his big game...The Dec. Game counts... Good luck.

Yes... I agree, It would be an absolute travesty if the Nations finest, Conferences finest fails to prevail. It's football... He's been stopped from achieving 3 years in a row...for what ever reasons,..injuries, bad call on coaches part... who knows... my goodness, if he can't win it all this year, then we'll just have to wonder...a big part of the competition went 3a... oh well...Maybe they're just saving him for college career... You know he wants it... You know coach wants it... GOOD LUCK

This may be the first time in years that Scotland has been considered the underdog is multiple games during the regular season.

Helps that the bigger games are all at Pate. Mallard Creek, Richmond, 71st and Pinecrest. I know Marlboro is a big game for ya'll but I don't foresee an issue there. Hillside is really bad at the beginning of the year, they're good for 30 flags a game up until week 6.

Although The Creek just reloads! 2 coming back on offense and 3 on defense. Definitely the underdog.

I'm going to have to disagree with you on that one. No way a one horse team can be favored over a nationally recognized powerhouse like Mallard Creek.

One horse TOWN, not one horse team. Big difference.

Scotland will be ranked #1 or #2 in the state and will be at home. MC will be lucky to be top 10.

Don't look past west meck. Not sure how their defense will b but they will b LOADED on offense. 3 certified track stars on offense. If ur use 2 that kind of speed they could shock u.

Where would you rank this against Scotland schedules over the past 10 years?
B&G, in my opinion. I think this is the toughest schedule they've had in awhile. They've had tough schedules, but the teams they schedule sometimes don't live up to the hype.

I agree with scots roll. Some of the teams on our previous schedules were not as good as they had traditionally been when we played them. Indy and South View for example. I'm just thankful that the teams that we are playing this year are giving Scotland the opportunity to see where we stand against the better teams in the state. Hopefully we can give them a decent game.
