I’m loyal and support all of the teams in our area but I’m learning as I get older to never ever ever stray from the truth. May be a harsh reality and it may hurt to say, but can’t stray away from the truth!Tunstall lost out a few years back when Coach Potts (the best Coach they’ve had) retired and they didn’t hire Fielder who won two state championships at Magna Vista. Tunstall is very political and is too loyal to some coaches to the point that it ends up being a huge detriment to the kids. Tunstall has some athletes, just needs the right guy to get them to the next level.
Lost to Byrd, have no clue about how they did against SR.. I just know that Tyler Johnson had two big games. I haven’t really been keeping up with anyone out that way but GW.

I was wrong about GW. They will make the playoffs in Region D. Hopefully they will continue to improve weekly and be able to give Pulaski or Salem a game.
Region 4A is a mess. Churchland still has Maury & Lake Taylor to play. Kings Fork will only play for the Suffolk City Championship. The Penninsula & Bay Rivers Districts are playing a very limited schedules, too. Great Bridge beat Western Branch which may play out as a big upset. Both teams appear to be much improved compared to past years. So, GB could get some bonus points from that win!
Who knows what teams will be in that playoff bracket. But the end result will be the same with Lake Taylor coming out to match up vs Reg B

4A ratings are incorrect..They did not account Warwick losing to Hampton in the ratings. It should be correct now. As the person in charge of 4A football I can tell you right now Lake Taylor and Churchland have clinched the top 2 seeds. Warwick, Menchville, Warhill, Hampton, and Great Bridge are fighting for the last two spots.
Looking at the VHSL weekly ratings PDF file. Each game has a number followed by a W or L followed by another number (i.e. 20 W 4). Is the first number the points for the game and the second number the number of rider points for wins by the opponent for the season? If so. I think KG's entry for the KG vs JM game is incorrect. It's 20 W 4 which would seem to indicate JM has won 2 games. JM has only one 1 game. I'm not a guy with a team in the 4B race. I'm just curious. Have a good one!
I haven't looked at it closely M, but 2 of those are probably for the difference in Classification (2 pts per difference in Classification C4-C3)
The first number is for the school's classification. The second number are rider points and lower classification points. You get 2 points for each win a defeted team gets. 1 point for each win if you lost to the team. Then 2 points for playing a lower classification team. Div 4 team playing a Div 3 team will automatically have 2 bonus
KG is Div 4. Plus 2 in bonus points because JM is Div 3.
Points look like this. 20 (div 3 ) + 2 (wins) + 2 (lower classification)

Thanks to all who answered my question. I didn't know you got points for playing down. I guess they do that to make it easier on lower classification teams to find games. If they didn't, schools might not play down. JM and KG are in the same district so there really isn't a choice there. H
I believe they do it because they are in the same district and have to play. That way teams don't have an unfair advantage when it comes to playoffs. Ex) Broad Run only plays Div 4 schools. Louisa Co played 4 Div 3 schools that are district games. They would be minus 8 points by playing required teams.
Yeah, I think they did that so that higher classification schools would be "rewarded" for playing "down", otherwise it would be hard for smaller schools to schedule bigger schools.
I know how the points work, but how did Louisa close the gap if they both played 3-2 teams... maybe because Louisa only played 5 games instead of 6 and that affected the math? Bear in my, I teach history!
No decision as of yet that I've seen. I think KG just added the game on MP but should just be a placeholder.

I’m pretty sure with both Louisa and KG winning along with rider points jumped PH by them beating a winless team the last week.
Never ever trust maxcraps to have correct info.
Depending on the rider points if they both got an extra 4 points then there would be a 3 way tie.
KG got 10 this week total from Chancellor, Spotsy and JM (they didn’t have Spotsy’s points the previous week). I kept track of the Battlefield this year. Need to go look to see what Louisa got this past week.
