Nice deflection and diversion, TrollVanZandt, but Neal Brown, who is from Kentucky, is mining Ohio for talent, too, and I know that this cuts you deeply.

Once again Football is different than basketball.

I can explain this to you quite easily..
Huggins pretty much knows everyone around Ohio Basketball.

So he will recruit the state hard because people are.giving him info about players.

If you get someone who has those connections to the DMV, Philadelphia or NY you could see the change in how they recruit

No kidding, Captain Obvious. As you know--being a WVU fan for life--Huggins used to recruit quite a bit in the NYC Metropolitan area when WVU was a member of the Big East, but now that WVU is in the Big 12, few Northeastern inner-city kids want to play all of their games so far way from home. The bottom line is that both Huggins and Brown recruit heavily in the State of Ohio, which obliterates your false narrative that no talent exists there.

Conference affiliation doesn't have a thing to do with basketball recruiting either.

You are speaking about things you have no clue about.

Huggins is going to recruit Ohio because he knows the state.
WVU hires a head coach from somewhere else that could change.

Assistants also matter as well.

The assistant Everhart recruited my nephew when he was at Northeastern...
Because he spent a lot of time in Texas and Louisiana recruiting.

That was how I was introduce to Frank Martin.

You're clueless, as usual, TrollVanZandt. Nobody in NYC who has similar local options wants to play most of his games more than 1,000 miles from home. But go ahead and fabricate the reason that NYC basketball recruiting to WVU has dried up since WVU left the Big East. It doesn't matter, though, as the fertile state of Ohio will continue to serve WVU well, and this will continue to embarrass you, the hater of Ohio.

I am not going to continue to argue nonsense with you.

Texas had connections to the Northeast 20 years ago...while in the Big 12 because of their staff. Royal Ivey is from Queens. Rick Barnes was at Providence. Prior to him Tom Penders was at Rhode Island.
Didn't even need to be in the Big East

Basketball is all about connections...
Knowing the people. The people are who put players on your radar.

Players from Ohio are fllling WVU's football and basketball rosters for years to come, and you're either going to have to learn to accept it, or continue to embarrass yourself by crying about Ohio on message boards. It's your choice.

????.

Football and Basketball are very different when it comes to recruiting.

WVU Basketball will Recruit Ohio hard with Bob Huggins.
But what happens after Huggins depends on the coach.
They can recruit Australia...Europe...anywhere depending on the coach they bring in..

Basketball recruiting is dependent on where the coach has connection

You keep changing the subject. I'm posting about what IS the fact TODAY and the upcoming recruiting cycle. Ohio guys are flocking to WVU in both basketball and football, as you try to read the tea leaves regarding some unknown coach in the future. You're throwing a lot of **** at the proverbial barn, but it isn't sticking.

No one is disagreeing that Huggins relies on Ohio for basketball...
But WVU doesn't. WVU relies on who the coach brings in.
Beilein was different than Huggins and the next coach will be as well.

Agree that a complete story should include the lead recruiter. Otherwise, we can get the same info on Twitter
