184 R2: #3 seed Aaron Brooks vs. #14 seed Will Feldkamp (Clarion) (I'll use WF for him)

WF really seems to be focused on controlling the wrist of AB early on. Brooks in on a single, and gets behind for the TD, 2-0. WF gets up and nearly a REV but they go OOB, so it's only an ESC, 2-1. Brooks shoots a single, switches to a double, but WF fights it off, nothing. Brooks in again off a hook, WF with a whizzer, they are on the edge, AB can't limp arm out and a stalemate with 40 sec left. OOB with 9 sec after quite a flurry. End

Brooks takes bottom. He works up and he's out in about 10 sec, 3-1. OOB with 1:47 left. Stall call on AB as he barreled him backwards off the mat. Another single shot by AB and another whizzer by WF, but AB frees his arm and gets the TD, 5-1. WF to his feet, and gets the esc, 5-2. AB shoots, and WF with another whizzer. Stalemate with 23 sec left. AB with a blast double for a TD and gets swipes, and gets the pin with 1 sec left in the 2nd period. Pin @ 4:59!!!!!!

The Clarion guy was going for it. Deserves a lot of credit.

First period
Tie ups to start. Tremendous scramble sees Allred on a single and Dean squares up but Allred works and drives through for a 2-0 lead. Dean out on the edge at 2-1 after the Nittany Lion nearly had a reversal. back to Neutral with 40 seconds left. Allred goes in on a single and they scramble and Dean is able to get to the horn. 2-1 Allred after one.
Second period
Dean down to start. Dean is out to 2-2 with 1:40 left in the period. They lock up and then break apart and are neutral for now. Allred shoots on a single Dean sprawls back gets a single and circles as Allred stands and tries to square up on the edge. Dean tries to pull the ankle back in at the edge and he can't get two as they go off the edge. Back to neutral. Dean shoots, Allred counters with a single and throws Dean to his back for a takedown and a 4-2 lead as Dean stands but can't get out of the horn. 4-2 Allred.
Third period
Neutral to start. Dean shoots on a single and has a chance to circle and get two as Allred inches away toward the edge and then stands, Dean keeps working circles in and is very close to two but can't quite get control as Allred gets a leg. Dean throws a leg in and they go off the edge neutral with 38 seconds left. Dean shoots, Allred grabs a leg, and they scramble again with Dean on top. Allred comes through the legs with 10 seconds left and Allred gets a late takedown to win 7-2 with 1:04 in RT.

Allred the better wrestler tonight but not sure how they let him crawl out of bounds without a stall warning.
No doubt. I’ve never seen a wrestler get to Max’s legs as easy as he does and then Dean on numerous times couldn’t finish. Insanity.
I’m surprised that they didn’t work on Dean not standing as upright this time around. With all red length it was easy for him to pull him up.
Beard’s gastank is still an issue. Loses to Braunagel late in the 3rd after leading by 4 (I think) going into the period.
Need Beard to transfer back to PSU. Give us a 197 next season. He has 2 years left. He loved PSU so you never know.
