Wow. Lose three straight sets after winning the first, at home. Jesus.
Too many attack errors and service errors gave Purdue critical points, especially in the second set. We frequently set up the ball too far away from the net causing the hitter to hit the ball long on the kill shot. We should have beaten them but we’re clearly lacking the size along the front line compared to the Boilers. Katie needs to go find some taller players for next season, say 6’4” and up!

It was Purdue's 5'10" freshman OH who beat us. He name is Chloe Chicoine. Does that sound familiar? It should. She was committed to Penn State and de-committed when Russ announced his retirement. KSC couldn't convince her to stay with Penn State.

damn. MSU was up 12-7 in the 5th set. PSU battled back to tie it up at 15, and it went back and forth, before MSU won 18-16. smh

Has anyone noticed KSC's frequent deer-in-the-headlights look? Never saw Russ with that look.

Mruzik and Hannah will be back. The only significant portal player we lose after this season is Podraza.

Hannah may, not sure about Jess and Taylor and Allie.... We could have a brand new team with a freshman setter

In the fourth set - two very glaring calls by officials against PSU.
The first claimed a 'touch' (could not see it) and the second was an obvious hit out of bounds by MSU. The points should have been ours as the set would have looked very different in the final box score. MSU had the small crowd making lots of noise that would influence motivation, and the officials at the 'table.' Unfortunately, we were out of 'objections.'

The first one (the touch), I'll give the refs a bit of a pass, as they can be tough to see. The second one (obvious hit), I won't be so generous. That was easy to see, and tough to miss. I noticed it in real time, before it was showed on replay on TV.
