You know what? I just want to win out. Tall order regardless of whether you’re #1 or #10. I don’t want to screw up any karma. Let’s just win the next one.
The team should want to play Missouri and also want to vaporize them. It speaks to pride and competitiveness. The fans should want it also. People can feel that way without forgetting there are larger prizes.

Brea Beal vs OM 11pts 8rebs 4 assists and spectacular D deserves a shout out. So just substitute Brea Beal for Roy Kent

She’s here, she’s there, she’s effing everywhere Brea Beal, Brea Beal

A&M getting rolled by Vandy. They were down 19 after the 1st quarter! To Vandy!! Hopefully the Aggies can pick it up in the 2nd half to salvage some dignity. Tough way for Gary Blair to go out.

They were on their way to score 100.

Vandy is a bottom half team but clearly Shea Ralph knows what’s she’s doing.

LSU, UF, VANDY, OM, and UT hired well. Jury out on UK and Aub.

What will A&M and Miss St. do?

Will anybody come looking to steal Coach Yo?

Seems like now is the time for Coach Yo to go, if she plans on leaving. Austin is gone for sure. Yo has several other key seniors, not sure about their COVID extra year status. I don't expect Ole Miss to be as good next season. But if she's committed to staying there, I think the long term is bright for them.

As for State, I don't think they could hire a better coach than Novak. It's just a question if he can recruit well enough to make them a contender again.

You are looking at it wrong...... Karma is calling us.... Kick their ***, Kick their ***
I love it!

I agree completely. I just don’t care about that as much as I want to win this NC.

I was looking at the bracketology by Cream...he has us in Greensboro with UNC in that bracket. That would make for an interesting game although I don't see
UNC beating OU in Norman...

A'ja Wilson makes her opinion known on exactly who the National POY is.

I agree. But that Clark girl bothers me. She might be the best shooter I've seen in WMM. Nothing but net a lot of the time.

Clark is not that great a 3pt shooter, and it’s all ESPN’s fault. All they do is show the shots she makes. She leads the country in 3pt attempts yet ranks 134th in %. The term volume shooter is applicable on her 3 point shooting,

So, she's a little like Maravich was in that regard. No concern about her winning POY, then.

Clark is a great player. Leading the nation in points and also assists by a pretty good margin. Doubt she will win POY with shooting % and Iowa at 20-7, but she is fun to watch.

If we happen to run into them, Henderson should give her issues with speed and size.

The lack of defense is still pretty glaring and 4.7 turnovers a game is among the worst in the nation. Despite leading the country in assists she's 90th in assists to turnover ratio. She still is a pretty good offensive player when she's on, and she's definitely exciting and I love her energy.

I would be interested in knowing who Aja would pick as her top 5 players...Wonder if Catlin would make her top 5? I wonder if Aja thought Paige Bueckers from UCONN and Catlin Clark from Iowa who by the way both were 1st Team All-Americans, deserved to be on the list last year?

Boston will win POY but Clark should be #2 in the voting...

Parenthetically, that loss that Louisville took to Miami was terrible, unconscionable. Miami outscored Louisville 23-7 in the fourth quarter to win by a bucket. Inexcusable home loss by the 4th-ranked team.

I don’t think you can place Bueckers on 1st team AA this year simply because she missed half the season. But yea she is top 5 My five for this season would be

Boston
Clark
Annesah Morrow DePaul freshman 21&14
NyLyssa Smith Baylor
Naz Hillman Michigan

I really want to put Emily Engstler in this group. She was all ACC and DPOY. She only averages 9&9, she guards 1-4, is the glue on L’ville, does the little things and if you need 15 points she can do that

Keenan beat Camden in the state title game last night. The ending was pretty exciting. I haven't seen a stat line for Fulwiley and Edwards yet, so I can't tell you how they did.

They are not as bad as their record indicates. That's the first time UK has had Benton and Edwards playing together in a while. Several games they played without both.
I told y'all that Kentucky was better than their record. They haven't lost since that game against us.

Massengill went down with an ankle injury at the end of the UT game. Don't know how serious it is. They have a solid 7 player rotation, but they can't afford to lose anyone.

We just need to get the ball inside on offense. Tennessee completely failed to use Key as a weapon against the smaller Wildcats.

Tennessee seldom obliges me in anything. They did so tonight.

I thought Kentucky was going to miss the tournament a month ago, but they really turned it around. I'm glad Rhyne Howard won't end her career in the NIT or with postseason. They will be playing their 4tg game in 4 days, hopefully we take advantage of it.

Key must be one of the most maddening players in the country to coach. She is 6’6” and leads the country in blocked shots BUT is an average rebounder and cannot defend the pick and roll or outside the lane. Gets into foul trouble on post D despite having superior size.

She shoots 60% from the field, would be top 5 in the country IF she had enough attempts. Only takes 6 shots a game, she should get that many a game just from offensive rebounds. Does not know how to establish post position except by physically bullying defender. Horrible FT shooter. More turnovers than assists. To paraphrase an old school saying..... Body by Fischer, Game by Mattel

This outcome today has rendered me nonplussed. Besides not winning the SECT championship, which is a bitter disappointment, what shortcomings does this performance indicate about our team? There must be something. I hope you folks who are more expert than I will opine.

we are just not a clutch team. lack solid guard play, I thought Cookes body language was bad she didn't have a good tournament, bad coaching in the 4th quarter that is 100% on Staley and she should admit that. credit Kentucky they have players who know how to make shots and they don't give up

Still think gamecocks are the best team. Only two losses. And they were close games. Another title this year

The wakeup call we need. Time to step up for the big tournament and play 40 minutes of basketball.

Those two missed free throws late hurt but we let up in the 4th Qtr two days in a row. I personally thing the double double streak by Boston has been a distraction.

I agree it was definitely a distraction for the Ole Miss game for sure and I think it detracted from our play and substitution pattern. I still believe if we focus it's still out title to lose.

We have a lot for problems in the 4th quarter all year we lose and look terrible, with the exception of the UConn game we always let teams back in it, I think this is not a dominant team like they are hyped up to be. If we had better and more consistent shooting and guard play we would be dominant, but we don't have that. Teams like UConn shouldn't have much to worry about against us in the Tournament, their guards will kill us. If we are missing free throws they will beat us by 20+ I can't see us getting out of our bracket if UConn is the #2 seed
