I can agree with that. UConn used to be invincible and in order to beat them you had to have the right mindset and play a complete game. Part of their dominant streaks was owed to the fear that they brought to their opponents, you we're already down at least 10-15 points before tipoff.
I think Dawn Staley is actually a huge reason why UConn dynasty has fallen. Vic Schaefer and that buzzer beater with Mississippi State stopped their dominance in the NCAA tournament and they deserve a lot of credit as well because it gave more programs the belief that they can be beat.
Where Staley really stopped them is when it comes to the recruiting trail. Our two biggest players in the program in Boston and Wilson absolutely would have continued the dynasty had they chose to go there instead. Since Breanna Stewart graduated, they have yet to recruit a dominant unstoppable post player like them and those two would likely account for an additional 4 more championships for them.
