Just cleaning up the penalties would make a big difference

I know we had some penalties, but some looked like bad calls to me. There were several no calls on USM. Thought officiating was very poor overall.

Considering that for longer than I can remember, whenever we lined up for a FG I thought "well this has the potential to be embarrassing," I'll take it. Dude nailed it.

Please wait until we play some real teams. And, 17 penalties is a joke.

I wasn't necessarily complimenting the D. Just stating facts. Seems there may be too many chiefs.

The tackling & effort looked better though. The penalties can hopefully be cleaned up. Maybe USM is just bad. We'll know more next week.

good to get a win and still look that sloppy I guess. Too many dumb penalties. The illegal formation motion penalties and holding when it's not even necessary need to get cleaned up quickly. Line on both sides kind of scary for next week. Hopefully asu doesn't have another running back that will run through us like Taco Bell

Their front D is top 10, SEC like. Their DL Fite, Smith and Dorbah are all expected to be drafted. They have 6 legit draft prospects on D, including a man shutdown corner.

Their WR Tyson is a pre-season All American & expected to be a 1st draft pick.

Leavit is a pre-season All American & an early Heisman candidate.

They are ranked 11.

If we do beat them, we can consider State to be a legit football team this year.
