Alas, Alvarado is having control issues, so the Cards have 2nd & 3rd, with 1 out, in the top of the 8th. Topper just came out to replace him with Kerkering.

Way to go Kerkering! He gets a pop out for the 2nd out, and then a called 3rd strike on a 3-2 pitch, so the Fightins remain in the lead, 2-1, heading to the bottom of the 8th.
