You'd think JS would know better. Tge only reason I even cared who ended up winning that match is so Rocco could reach a goal and enjoy it. Anyone looking at it know the seeding at that weight doesn't mean ****. It's gonna be a dog fight for all of them regardless of how they are all seeded. Hell....this is one of the very few tourneys in a long time that I that I don't care where our guys are seeded. I just don't.The Iowa frustration and tears are sweet as honey.
Was 1000% a support point
All of the national pundits and other fan bases that fawn over everyone. You hear about MM,Haines,Duke, blaze, mendez,Davino,SVN, Ferrari x2, Forrest, lockette, and more rather consistently. Josh Barr just dominates but is not often referenced or mentioned.By who
I've always been a hater so I didn't add to that list. And the amount of haters grows lol
This problem is happening precisely because the officials DONT want to live with human error. They’re trying to legislate tough calls out of the sport. That’s why we have the edge stall rules which suck. It’s why they’ve expanded reaction time to the point if the call is even close they can just say “reaction time” a punt on it.How do you really feel….lol
It will be reactions like this that turn everything over to AI in this world. Live with the human error or soon there won’t be humans to error.
He doesn't have as many quality wins which is hurting him.I was just going to post this. Why isn’t his name even getting tossed around. He’s right up there with MM and Mendez.
It’s ok. You can have your opinion. I can have mine. It’s a really bad match up for Marcus. You’re not going to convince me that a guy who has never taken Blaze down is a bad matchup for him. And 1 “Hail Mary” takedown for Marcus > zero takedowns of any kind for Davino.
Yeah I see a lot of people saying Mendez is a given. Why?Someone earlier brought up split vote. Well....the way I see it, the only way Mendez could even be considered the #2 in the Hodge race right now is Mitch taking some votes from Barr. It's 1 Mitch, 2 Barr and then 3 Jesse. Maybe Ohio State can advertise some more camps with Win Magazine to change that...

Who cares? If he wants to be a coward and ban me he can do it.Just wanted to highlight this for any time the HR brainiacs claim Tom has a trigger finger on the ban hammer.
No way anyone says this to one of the HR mods and keeps his account. Emotions running high or otherwise.
Looks pretty close to 100 point gap to Iowa, right? So, the usual.Updated points:
Penn State
A giant huge gap
Two really angry guys, one with a dark tan and the other a whining little ***** with gray hair.
You've been MIA here pretty much most of theSimple question: what happens to Welsh if you take away that hand in that second. Does he fall on his face or does he magically levitate?
People with your mindset are killing the sport. This really isn’t about PSU at this point. It’s about the state of the sport. This is just one example out of a hundred this year where those idiots are butchering the sport.
Im.glad you came to ***** about this.Simple question: what happens to Welsh if you take away that hand in that second. Does he fall on his face or does he magically levitate?

Amos forfeitedNo Cole?
What happens if you take away Welsh’s arm there? Does he fall on his face or somehow levitate without the SUPPORT of his hand?Well, then it's a good thing you're not a ref, because it wasn't even 1% a support point THAT WAS HELD AND USED TO SUPPORT.
If you can't see that, then I can't help you.

This is a wrestling forum and we can just disagree..Just wanted to highlight this for any time the HR brainiacs claim Tom has a trigger finger on the ban hammer.

The plant on the mat return was ruled after time expired, not that it wouldn’t have been a takedown if time was still there. I think you’re not arguing what you think you’re arguing. This problem is happening precisely because the officials DONT want to live with human error. They’re afraid of being yelled at. They’re afraid to do their jobs and that makes them unqualified to continue.
Do we really want to live in the world where you can plant someone on their shoulder with a mat return with a second left on the clock and it not be a takedown because of some theoretical reaction time that very clearly had no effect on the position? It helped you guys today. It might cost you a title tomorrow. So just evaluate it on the actual merits.
You’re blind. That’s been a takedown in college wrestling for 50 years until those idiots decided to reinterpret reaction time this year to mean 2 full seconds so they never have to make a tough call because they’re cowards who are bad at their job.
You are right that was consistent with how’s that’s been called this year. It’s been called wrong all year and it’s killing the ******* sport. Makes me sick.
What wasn’t consistent was the ref letting Haines walk straight out of bounds no call and then calling McEnelly on the same thing in the next match (if you want evidence of inconsistency).
@Tom McAndrew killed wrestling (20,000 BC - 2026 AD).Simple question: what happens to Welsh if you take away that hand in that second. Does he fall on his face or does he magically levitate?

I thought you died.
I agree 100% with your thoughts but we can't want matches decided by what we want rather than the stated rules. I liked the old rule, but we would be in even a worse situation if some of the refs decided to ignore the new rule and just defer to the old "better" rule. I still want a 3 point reversal, a zero point escape, and a push out rule, but it wouldn't be great if I started officiating and just enforced my desires. The rules people need to have some balls. This problem is happening precisely because the officials DONT want to live with human error. They’re trying to legislate tough calls out of the sport. You do realize Blaze has a 3-2 record against Davino. Blaze definitely didn’t deserve to win today. I think he will have a different game plan if they meet againIt’s ok. You can have your opinion. I can have mine. It’s a really bad match up for Marcus.
You don’t understand the rules. Not surprised you’re an official. That seems to be a requirement.Wow, how original. That's so insightful, and creative. Refs are constantly being called blind by fans in the stands. As a ref, you learn to laugh about it, as it quickly proves how little the person calling it out is.
The rest of your post is just nonsense.
1. it hasn't been a TD for 50
2. the refs didn't reinterpret anything
3. the call has been CORRECT all year
4. sorry if you don't like the rules, but the rules as written and as called are not killing the sport
5. you are comparing the sequence with Haines and the sequence with McEnelly as identical? Thanks for providing me with a chuckle. As refs like to say when we are in training or discussing things, no two situations are identical. Each is unique, and must be called based on what transpires
I'm done responding to you. I try to assist folks understand the rules. If they chose to disagree with the rules and make disparaging comments about me, then I'm wasting my time.
If that really was the case, no ref would ever set foot in Iowa City or Lincoln. They’re afraid of being yelled at. They’re afraid to do their jobs and that makes them unqualified to continue.
I don’t care about freestyle. I can have my opinion. I’m a PSU fan and I don’t want them in semis together. You do realize Blaze has a 3-2 record against Davino. Blaze definitely didn’t deserve to win today. I think he will have a different game plan if they meet again
Mcenelly had something to do with that.Yes, but by God, Rocco made it way too close.
21 Guns. Is that you? Welcome back. You were right when you insisted we need 8 scoring wrestlers. That really turned things around for the team.Yeah, okay. Get a bit of knowledge. Other teams, specifically, tOSU should be on a National Championship run this year. Give the other sides some credit. They show up, and they are phenomenal wrestlers. Take your ok dude and shove it.
