I’m not one for conspiracy theories, as the simplest explanation is usually the correct one. But when guys like Nolf and Starocci never win a Hodge, something is fishy.
I don't care what anybody says, Starocci not being the Hodge award winner last year peeled the legitimacy of the award right off the trophy.
Nolf didn't get the award in years Zain won twice and Bo the last year. Nothing every fishy about those 3 years.

This. From the time they hit the mat with 1 second left to the time the clock expires, McEnelly was in a control position. The entire time no matter where you stop it.

This is a classic bad official understanding of control (something you used to see mostly only at the lower levels of wrestling). You don't have to completely stop your opponent's movement to be in control. You have to gain control criteria beyond reaction time. Behind both arms, supporting points down, on top for a full second here. Welsh trying and failing to roll underneath does nothing to disrupt McEnelly's control.

Again, I retract the PSU slander. This is only the latest example of this problem, not the entire problem. Next time it may burn you guys and I will be just as mad!
Isn't there another wrestling oriented forum for you to spew you BS? Your participation here isn't really welcome.

You’re blind. That’s been a takedown in college wrestling for 50 years until those idiots decided to reinterpret reaction time this year to mean 2 full seconds so they never have to make a tough call because they’re cowards who are bad at their job.

You are right that was consistent with how’s that’s been called this year. It’s been called wrong all year and it’s killing the ******* sport. Makes me sick.

What wasn’t consistent was the ref letting Haines walk straight out of bounds no call and then calling McEnelly on the same thing in the next match (if you want evidence of inconsistency).
Hyperbolic much.

I’m not sure anyone else at BJC noticed this… but after the Levi-Pinto match i noticed Manning had come back into the arena. I noticed him near the end of the Rocco match walking away after the match was over, with his head down looking very dejected. I got the feeling he was looking for a moral victory, hoping for an Rocco loss, after his lads went 0-2 against PSU.

I was shocked to see how poor attendance was throughout the 2 days. Lots of empty seats, especially for the finals. I get States finals are Saturday, but I expected a pretty full house for tonight.

184 is going to be crazy for years. These 4 guys are so young and so good. Any one of the big 4 can beat any of the others in any given match. If anyone separates I think it will be Sinclair because he has the most scoring potential.
Haven't seen him score on Welsh yet. Just saying.

I believe I heard him say "Penn State refs" on the TV - during his tirade
I thought it interesting, after seeing the replay in the arena, he then explained it to Minto. A, perhaps explain the rules to your wrestlers prior to the entry onto the mat?

All of the national pundits and other fan bases that fawn over everyone. You hear about MM,Haines,Duke, blaze, mendez,Davino,SVN, Ferrari x2, Forrest, lockette, and more rather consistently. Josh Barr just dominates but is not often referenced or mentioned.
Barr in my mind is a top 3 Pound for pound wrestler up there with mesenbrink and Mendez

Carter shouldn't have won last year because he wasn't the best wrestler in america. Mitch was.

most of the unsold tickets were allotted to the 14 other big ten schools who couldn't sell them. I didn't see a single maryland fan there in two days.

And miss a chance to arbitrarily apply his authority in a way that abuses the spirit of the rules to make himself feel powerful? Never! That's not the official's way!

Dude, I was trying to throw you a lifeline based off your past posting history which has been quite fair. But you seem to insist in digging your own grave.
