Honestly, if the clock on TV was correct, I thought McEnelly had the TD, but, who knows if that was the actual clock. I don't care, I'll take it!
Apparently the clock can save you on "reaction time" - I agree with you that he brought him to the mat in a "control position" before the clock went to zeros. Was less than a second, but just before the clock went to zeros. Not sure I understand the rationale of the clock saving you on "reaction time" if the wrestler is in control when they hit the mat, clock has not expired and the wrestler does not lose control after they hit the mat (i.e., in the immediate seconds after clock expires). I can understand "reaction time" applying if the wrestler loses control shortly after they hit the mat, but that was not the case here - McEnelly returned him to the mat from a rear standing position before clock went to zeros and remained in control through hitting the mat (and beyond in the immediate seconds after hitting mat even though clock had already gone to zeros) - just doesn't seem like "reaction time" should save you in that situation.
