133 last year was one of the weakest weight classes of all time. A returning national champ, runner up and multiple AAs were all passed by freshman.
125 the year before was also an insanely weak weight class.
That said, I still think Davis has a chance to make some noise on the backside.
Reached his peak or not, he's still a PSU all American and BIG champ. Two extremely difficult achievements. His story isn't fully written yet and with a little luck, he can still AA this year. I agree with your statement, sadly underage drinking is a right of passage at college, getting busted for it is not. If he wasn't dedicated, he would have packed it in already.
I hate it when people say a weight is weak maybe it's just because the one guy is so much better doesnt make the others weak,see Zain!
My previous post was more about what Davis tried to do mid season when he was intially redshirting and then was put into a lineup. I do think behind the scenes these athletes know the situation. Maybe Desmond /Ono gives Davis trouble at practice and Davis sees the hand writing on the wall.

I'm not a hater , I just think his situation is complicated moving forward and might be adding pressure.
It's frustrating to because he can beat Hardy and others if he stays within his skill set. He looks big move too much

He has the skill and dedication. Mr Davis' issues seem to be solely between his own ears. His situational wrestling IQ is questionable at times. But far more important, his emotional maturity is severely lacking. One would hope that hanging around the team would have helped that, but so far it hasn't.
Eating your own isn't good . Davis doesn't deserve any of it. Bunch of people who probably didn't even make JV bashing an AA because he's not good enough. Looks like we have another cesspool forum in wrestling now

Baby Face has been a fan favorite with a large percentage of the fan base. He’s been up, down, and all around in his 3 years. I hope he rolls in sessions 3,4, and 5. It’s gotta be tough being a good wrestler on a team stacked with #1’s.

Although it was a tight match the last time they wrestled, for whatever reason, I never felt Ayalya was close to getting in on Marcus. I just remember feeling pretty calm watching the match and not feeling Drake was going to score.

This could be the best thing for his wrestling. Hopefully this will propel him to work on his conditioning and body and not rely largely on his athleticism.
The ONLY reason I would want to see Davis transfer is if he goes home and gets his head right. In a year or so, he will graduate and enter the real world.
