I'm a fan of many of the athletes but I'm not a fan of any team. Actually watched NCAAs in a suite with Davis dad a few years ago. That much is obvious, but thank you for clarifying.
Now we are cookingWe have mat assignments!
Up first on mat 3: Luke Lilledahl vs. Dean Peterson
Up fourth on mat 3: Shayne Van Ness vs. Casey Swiderski
Up fifth on mat 3: PJ Duke vs. Brandon Cannon
On deck mat five: Marcus Blaze vs. Drake Ayala
Yep! We're about two hours out from wrestling. Now we are cooking
Well I didn’t either at that age so I have that in common with him. Not everyone is emotionally mature at 20.I thought Davis wrestled pretty well yesterday. Hardy is just better. My only issues with BD has been his episodes after matches. He doesn’t have much control of his emotions.
Then you know nothing about black culture.I missed the part where being black allows you to call young men that wrestle for you favorite school racial slurs in a clear derogatory manner...If anything, that makes it worse. That's eating your own on steroids.
I am 60. I got my zen in my 50's. I like his passion. Go Scooter!Agreed; I actually think the issue is his mental game.
tbc, I really admire his passion and that he is a team player, but he just needs a little more zen
I hope he continues to disappoint. Don’t need that team to have even more hammers - I want a near monopoly on themThis could be the best thing for his wrestling. Hopefully this will propel him to work on his conditioning and body and not rely largely on his athleticism.
Yuck. I agree with Corby. He's sacrificed for the team over and over and gives 100% effort. You guys are gonna win by 80 and have an AA at 141 and people are ripping on him it's ridiculous.
Good lord fellas, take a chill pill. i step out to buy concert tix for a few minutes and it's like i've come back to monkeys flinging poo.
Do we get the beloved dog bone mat configuration today?Yep! We're about two hours out from wrestling.D
The ox is slow, but the earth is patient.I am 60. I got my zen in my 50's. I like his passion. Go Scooter!
Hey Greg are you in the media section at M104?We have mat assignments!

We have a few fans that we are trading to HR for Ironbird.Eating your own isn't good . Davis doesn't deserve any of it. Bunch of people who probably didn't even make JV bashing an AA because he's not good enough. Looks like we have another cesspool forum in wrestling now
Yes you are!!!!I'm not a Penn st fan, I'm the biggest PennState fan.
Same here but I’ve got Davis with a pinTo all: Let's get this thread back on track, please and thank you. I'll start with my first match predictions for each Nittany Lion:
All matches are championship quarterfinals unless otherwise noted:
125 pounds: No. 1 Luke Lilledahl, Penn State d. No. 8 Dean Peterson of Iowa
133 pounds: No. 3 Marcus Blaze, PSU d. No. 6 Drake Ayala, Iowa
141 pounds: No. 14 Braeden Davis, Penn State md. No. 29 Jordan Titus of West Virginia (consolation bracket round two)
149 pounds: No. 1 Shayne Van Ness, PSU d. No. 8 Casey Swiderski of Oklahoma State
157 pounds: No. 1 PJ Duke, Penn State md. No. 8 Brandon Cannon of Ohio State
165 pounds: No. 1 Mitchell Mesenbrink, PSU md. No. 9 Bryce Hepner of North Carolina
174 pounds: No. 1 Levi Haines, Penn State md. No. 9 Beau Mantanona, Michigan
184 pounds: No. 1 Rocco Welsh, PSU d. No. 8 Silas Allred of Nebraska
197 pounds: No. 1 Josh Barr, Penn State TF No. 9 Angelo Posada, Stanford
285 pounds: No. 9 Cole Mirasola, PSU md. No. 23 Stephan Monchery, Appalachian State (consolation bracket round two)
Or Desmond alsoI look for Davis to portal. He will be better off elsewhere. There is just no room for him at Penn State. He isn't as good as Luke, Ono, Blaze, or even Sidun in the near future.
So true! If I had become wise a few decades earlier, just think what great things I coulda woulda done! So I try to help my kids by teaching them early, but they only absorb 5%, and slowly!I am 60. I got my zen in my 50's. I like his passion. Go Scooter!
You didn’t try to fight a kid on TV after losing. My point is he hasn’t really leaned from that and still is a hot head. Your mental composure separates many of the elite athletes from each other. Yes he is an elite athlete to wrestle at this level. To just say I was a hothead also doesn’t say anything. He is wrestling at a level where he needs all the tools in his toolbox. He needs to work on his mental control to assist himself and the team.Well I didn’t either at that age so I have that in common with him. Not everyone is emotionally mature at 20.
unrelated question - as i sit here looking forward to enjoying today's action, I am being subject to something annoying AF. Beginning yesterday morning, a small bird has decided that he simply must fly into my kitchen window. He is literally tapping on the thing incessantly for hours during the day. Any suggestions for eliminating this behavior, other than trying to shoot him, which would probably result in the death of a neighbor?
Are you using the Old French/Middle English meaning for “corb”—raven—to make a point? How sly!something annoying AF. Beginning yesterday morning, a small bird has decided that he simply must fly into my kitchen window. He is literally tapping on the thing incessantly for hours during the day.
impossible.RIP Chuck Norris
I dunno about that, but I was just taking a peek at things and man, it has the potential to be a really ugly afternoon for fans of a certain bird teamAre you using the Old French/Middle English meaning for “corb”—raven—to make a point? How sly!![]()
Which village idiot?? I've had a few on ignore for quite sometime. Which one are you referring to?I see people replying to the Village. By engaging him you guys just feed into his antagonistic schtick and fuel his needed desire for attention. Put him on Ignore, he's much more tolerable that way.

So west2east was your real name before changed it to Corby? This is why I think forums should be your real name
I was yesterday. I'm angling to get a floor seat today so it's easier to get to interviews but not sure if that's going to work in my favor. Either way, if you want me to I'll drop a note in the thread for tonight's session when I get situated and I'd be happy to swing by a section that is yours or near yours and say hey. Let me know!Hey Greg are you in the media section at M104?
I signed my name on many posts and never hid who I was. Wrestling is about to start like @GregPickel said time to move onSo west2east was your real name before changed it to Corby?
You might think I'm crazy but had something similar going on last year and taped a piece of paper to the outside of the window on the advice of my neighbor (who I thought was crazy) and that ended it. If there is a ledge below the window, setting literally anything there should deter it enough to go somewhere else.unrelated question - as i sit here looking forward to enjoying today's action, I am being subject to something annoying AF.
