Iowa is going to be really good for a really long time

both coaches in that game are better X and O than pike but McCollum is another level

I’d say Iowa got themselves a damn good bball coach.

It’s criminal both of these cases came down to crunch time simultaneously. No reason they can’t be more staggered start times.
Agree and the Purdue game started first by about 10 minutes

Shouldnt be hard to do 7:15 7:45 tips

They do this for the round of 32 with 3 srand alones and cram 5 in after 6

Did their bonehead coach really send 4 players on the floor with a timeout? Yikes.

WTF happened with the thread @bac2therac started for sweet 16. No need to lock that thread, but the obsessive-compulsive thread controller had to put his foot down?

Yep big mistake but Nebby wasnt going to win anyhow..their shots were all short and they were clearly gasping while Iowa stuck to their gameplan and were well oiled at the end

Some say Rutgers could follow Nebraska's path that they blazed from last year to this year. Hope not. . . . .

That was a messed up call, but Purdue still prevailed.
It was messed up, but I think they got it right.

There were two issues on the play:

1) Was there a shot clock violation. Ruling on the court was yes. This is something that the refs can review on their own volition.

2) Who was last to touch the ball. Ruling on the court was Iowa, therefore Texas ball. Refs cannot review this unless the play is challenged.

Here's what happened. Refs reviewed the shot clock violation and determined that there were a few ticks left. They then informed the Iowa coach of this, told him that it would be Texas ball on the out of bounds call, and asked if he wanted to challenge. He told them no, presumably because he felt that even if he won the challenge, the likelihood of scoring was so low it wouldn't be worth it.

So it was Texas ball on the out of bounds call, and that was that.

If you are asking why it took so long, I got nothin' on that one.

Good recount of what happened. But I thought I had dropped acid or something when I read the refs informing the Iowa coach. I was like, wait, they were playing Iowa? Minor error, but threw me for a loop- it was Purdue.

Yeah, with everything happening at the same time, I had a bit of a senior moment.
For some reason, I can watch 4 football games in multi view. But I can't watch two basketball game in multi view. Too much gets missed.

I missed the Nebraska 4 players after the timeout, but the announcers were raving about it for a bit after the play.
