Florida got the worst possible draw. Illinois is crazy good 3 seed. Houston 2nd weekend is in houston. Nebraska is kinda fraud but a tough 4. Vanderiblt might be the most underseeded team as a 5 seed. Tough

NCAA SEEDINGS Explain something to me . St Johns beat U CONN twice in the last month, by 10 back in February, and by TWENTY last night, in the Big East final, and the game was never close, up by 26 with 10 minutes to go. SO - U Conn loses and gets a 2 seed. St Johns wins, and drops all the way to a 5 seed. PS - they both finished 29-6, so that is a non factor. Doesn't head to head count AT ALL , with this NCAA committee . ???

The Johnnies did not have that much success OOC. Auburn for example beat them by 11.

From a betting standpoint, on paper, this is the chalkiest 1st round I've ever seen. All the top 4 seeds are favored by at least 12.5 points, and the closest spread on a 5/12 game is -8.5 (often, we'll even have one of the 12s favored). There will be a couple of closer 6/11 games (NC only favored by 2.5, and BYU will be 2.5 to 3.5 over Texas/NC St)...all 7 seeds are also favored.

If you look at the full resumes, UConn's is considerably better. Head to head matters, but those games are just a couple of data points in a full season.

body work work...st johns played beat no one occ and just 4-4 vs field, uconn was 8-3 with high Quad1 a wins....st johns wins were 2x uconn and 2 nova..very weak

also sju lost to uconn by 32 earlier and also losses to baylor and auburn...a case could be made for 4 but tough to dislodge alabama who st johns lost to and arky who won sec and kansas who has a ton of legit Q1 wins

big east in trouble..it was basically a mid major this year...wcc got as many bids..they better to scheduling up

Big East was not good. Remember two years ago with Seton Hall. They lost to Iowa and Rutgers. Do better in OOC.

this year is the first year in forever that I do not have to do a thread about biggest snubs...no one can complain and by and large seedings were pretty straightforward maybe the vandy or st johns argument out there

NIL world. Top teams have separated themselves. Trending toward the women’s game where it’s much easier to predict games.
