There’s a long history of true freshman making big improvements over the course of one season. One good PSU example is DT losing to Cyler Sanderson (8-3ish) at wrestle off in November, then closing the gap to 9-8 (or similar) at an Open only a month or two later. Jordan Burroughs as a true freshman lost his wrestle off at 141, then moved up to 149 and won a few matches at NCAAs. Not saying that Asher is going to end up with credentials similar to DT or JB, but the fact that Asher is drastically improving rather than getting beat down as a result of going with MM, Levi, Henkel, Barr, Welsh, Mirasola, and the coaches everyday is a really good sign for more improvement over the next year.
