yes I was referring to the Cement Job that was in the Kolat video
When I was wrestling in high school, I used what I now call a cow catcher. When I was wrestling, we referred to it as a bar and chancery, which I never hear anymore.

How about Carton and Pletcher?all our guys are gonna be on Mat 1
(I guess all finals on 1)
I put Jody Strittmatter on his back with a cow catcher back in junior high. No need to look up how that match finishedWhen I was wrestling in high school, I used what I now call a cow catcher. When I was wrestling, we referred to it as a bar and chancery, which I never hear anymore.
To be fair, John would have held Josh to a decision except that he threw a desperation lateral drop in the last few seconds and ended the match on his back.John was 11-1 heading into the Scuffle, the loss being 11-6 to Mac Stout. He beat Gavin Nelson earlier this year.
I only ever heard that term from the crusty old Lehigh Valley announcers who covered PA states for PCN in the 1980s.When I was wrestling in high school, I used what I now call a cow catcher. When I was wrestling, we referred to it as a bar and chancery, which I never hear anymore.
Agree. Scoreless first should be double stalls.I'm really getting sick of all these 0-0 first periods. Other than PSU no offense on the feet! Not good for the sport!
Well, that isn’t what Pete said.To be fair, John would have held Josh to a decision except that he threw a desperation lateral drop in the last few seconds and ended the match on his back.

Which is hilarious since the Lehigh Valley is the source of the "cement series" move terms.
Which still makes you a young whippersnapper to us 75 year old guys.Well, I'm 51, so, I can probably be included int he crusty, old category
Dick Hammer, announced on 1400 WEST AM. I can't remember his partners name ( Gary Laubach ?). They covered Districts, Regionals and States.I only ever heard that term from the crusty old Lehigh Valley announcers who covered PA states for PCN in the 1980s.

That would be the formerly tan Brock Herman, who went 14-6 primarily at 157 last year for anOSU, bumped up to 165 for the PSU dual and somehow lasted the full 7 min against Mesenbrink. (Still got teched, but at the 7:00 mark.)Connor Pierce DEC Brock Herman 13-7

Love this. I pinned my roomie at Bloom his freshman year. Came is as a #1 freestyle at 158 from Detroit, MI. We called him little Frankie Beck. Dad was huge in the car business in Michigan. That little fker spent more time getting laid his freshman season than wrestling. Lasted one year. Lmao. Every chick he brought back to our apartment was all world weight wise...I put Jody Strittmatter on his back with a cow catcher back in junior high. No need to look up how that match finished![]()
You're not even close to being old and crusty at 51.Well, I'm 51, so, I can probably be included int he crusty, old category
Wow!Incredible wrestling by both guys!
The big takeaway for me in this match was how incredible the in match adjustments and coaching from Casey were. In the opening sequence, Pierce had nothing for Herman in neutral, especially with that triceps tie. During the blood time, it showed Casey coaching something related to that tie and it was a completely different match after that. We are awfully spoiled with this coaching staff.149 Final: Connor Pierce vs. Brock Herman (LR)
