Remember when the leftists on here ridiculed me for saying many of the places in CLT I work at are packed with illegals. Zero English being spoken, etc. Good paying manufacturing and factory jobs, they all laughed and said I was dumb and stupid, “illegals can’t work like that.” Well….looks like I was right again.

Actually, as a resident here, who works with hispanic people who are here legally, they are staying home because the BP and ICE are illegally detaining people and harassing them based on their skin color.

One of the guys who works for me remotely, is a citizen, but family is from Colombia. Same for him and his family (staying home if at all possible due to being brown). Also says he’s now carrying his passport everywhere.

Your tyrannical government is harassing, detaining and arresting legal citizens and immigrants. With no probable cause. That, is illegal. I have no issue rounding up illegal immigrants, I just have a SERIOUS problem when it's done in such a reckless manner where you get US Citizens caught up. Furthermore, I am incredibly uneasy with the manner in which ICE/BP conducts their raids. Hell, the big Chicago TdA raid that was massively touted by the administration, recently, ended up with ZERO criminal charges. It seems like it's all just performative harassing of minority areas.

The article posted said 170 citizens over 9 nomths. Thats about 15 people a month (if you believe they are giving an honest account, which i seriously doubt).
If you are confronted by ICE then just prove you are a citizen. I would happily do so. It is a minor inconvenience at worst and i don't agree with the way you are framing the argument.
Many of those 170 probably tried to interfere with an investigation. I doubt they are accurately portraying the whole story.

Very very true. The 4th amendment must be adhered to. Now the individual doesn't speak English: that's probable cause to ask for indentification and a background search.
