They were probably really impressed with our two wins over UConn. I'm being serious. They love those northern teams.

Do we move up another spot if we beat them?

lots of guys above us - many with less wins. I wish it was 5-7 degrees warmer.

Our BA and Slugging will both improve from last season, to go along with a more experienced and deeper staff. Some on here are inning by inning reactionists and routinely look like fools

it doesn't really matter right now Kentucky is ranked right now in some polls and Vandy isn't(because of their slump). In two weeks lets look back on this and see everything will be completely different and a little more accurate.

Ole Miss has only played TCU and was able to get a split, I think UConn is the best team that MSU played, and MSU was able to take them both.

Ole Miss has games against Houston, Louisville, USM and a 3 game set against AU over the next two weeks. Right now I think we are a little overrated.

As for MSU, this week isn't really that tough of a week, with PSU being pretty bad, and Mercer being worse than UConn but better than Lipscomb. The key for MSU is the next five games which are against Se La in Hammond for two games, and then a 3 game set in Baton Rouge. That is a big week for MSU. I think Se Louisiana will be the best OOC team y'all will have faced this year, and then you get LSU in Baton Rouge.

are pretty decent mid-majors for baseball. Having SELU on the road will be tough- they're going to treat our two games series like the World Series.

Se La was picked to finish the season 2nd in the Southland conference while Mercer was picked to finish 5th in the Atlantic Sun conference. Se La is the only team that has played anyone noteworthy, losing 12-1 to Tulane, though they did beat UL-LA who usually has a decent team.

I think Jay is going to be able to get a decent coaching gig in a few years, he has made a killing recruiting the coast, pine belt and south La. This isn't Se La best team, but Im assuming they will pitch their Friday night guy.
