And with the portal that's perfect--if we get a couple guys from this class that become contributors it's a huge win.
This was reported yesterday, but nothing official was posted until today.
Seems curious why Grunk's massive message board fan club now thinks he made a huge mistake by leaving. We were informed many times that he should be the starter at Penn State in 2026, but now in just days, suddenly he can't stay and win the job over some kid from UNC? Odd .
I have to say that I get tired of seeing the "you must be new here" comment that gets bandied about around here.
I wish he would have done better than VT. Grunk was really good. Seems like he could have done better. Who knows, maybe next year he will tell Franklin to hell with this and transfer to a real contender.
Am I remembering correctly he saw very limited PT at Safety but played alot on Special teams? All the best to him. He certainly received quality coaching at PSU by coach Poindexter. Does he have the talent to start at G5, don't know? I expect he will play more Safety than at PSU. Definitely good spot for him, Smolik, and Sheffler.
Georgia would be my guess. Had a pretty good year on a bad defense.
Lol sounds like a Grunk fan hurt your feelings. Most of the posts I’ve read simply say that Grunk is stupid if he wants to play for Franklin again or that he’s stupid if he believes he’ll be handed a P4 starting job without any competition.

Just ridiculous....gave it the old college try at Penn St for less than a year...all after announcing his return a few days ago. Maybe he ll do the walk of shame and return like Cam Wallace after finding zero interest or not enough bank elsewhere.

They all have until the 16th (I think) to make a decision. Depending on what other moves we make that will change the minds of many.

You don't know that- he may have or think he can get a better deal. There is no reward for loyalty, it's all about the money now.
White is in no mans land at his size. Probably too large to have the speed to be a DE but definitively too small to be a DT, particularly considering Campbell wants size at that position.
Why does everyone want these kids to be loyal when the programs are bringing in other guys?
No one is afraid to compete--they just want to be in the best possible position to do so.
It goes back to Grunk--Grunk isn't afraid--he's just not stupid and knows Becht is starting in 2026 like we all knew when we hired Campbell
