Haines will face Suldkhuu Olonbayar of Mongolia for the right to wrestle tomorrow for a gold medal at 79 kilograms. The Team USA wrestler in his first Senior World tournament. Olonbayar has been here before: He was fifth a year ago and finished third at the 2025 Senior Asian Championships before getting to this point.

The semis start at 10:30 a.m. ET.

Can't get the Levi quarter to play on Flo. Russia is blocking it from space!

Lobdell hasn't been this hot since he last slid into women wrestlers' DMs.
It's so frustrating that Tom insists on pasting so much twitter takery here, where we're not allowed to use the Ignore function b/c he's on On3 outlet staff.

Tweets that have wrestling videos I get.

Tweets that have wrestling interviews I even get, although it still turns this place into Twitter JV, where we're unable to curate our own feed like on Twitter Varsity.

But Lobdell Nomad offers neither, and our only choices to avoid reading him are to avoid reading this whole site.

Just watched the entire Haines v. Usmanov match. That ref should be banned from officiating. How he put Levi on the clock twice and then allowed Usmanov to stall like that by not coming to center, staying in his corner well after the intermission had ended, sitting on the mat pulling his socks up, is CRIMINAL. It was old school world wrestling politics at its best. Great job by Levi to stay focused and keep the pressure on!

Then there’s the Basch rebranded news tweets of things we already know - just with graphics

Of all the things to care about, this is like at the bottom.

Or you could join me on Hawkeye Report...you will find their Worlds thread pretty light on posting today.

@GregPickel Where are you watching the matches live? I have a Flo subscription and all I can find on it are replays

I understand your words & your point.

I mean, I get my choices, the same as yours: read here or don't read here; comment or don't.

But the space *has been a place that also understands itself as an actual community, of folks working & talking together about a shared love of something fun. So I made my choices this morning from my own itty bitty little corner of the community, as did you.

I'd love to come here for the community fun, during the World Championships, and avoid the spam copypasta from another internet space, but if I can't, I'll move along and find other things to care about.

That's strange because a couple of weeks ago Bob was over there thumping his chest that the HWC was as good as any because they had the only world silver medalist in the US. It seemed that all was ok in terms of Iowa and international wrestling according to Bob.

He’s gonna lean hard on the women this week - ironic because Tom and crew resent having to share the space they raised money for with the women’s team.

Spencer is a PA guy and the US rep so I’m going to cheer for him in every match. That being said, I can find a bit of consolation in the fact that there won’t be a returning world medalist sitting in the finals of Final X next year, which may help improve Lightning Luke’s chances of taking the spot. Does that make me a bad person?

What you saw as aggression I saw as activity he had no intention of scoring on.
Getting run over after hitting a duck isn't a lack of intention.

If he dove in with his head down and grabbed a leg (a la Stallmanov) I'd agree with you. Carr's American aggression cost him. But I ain't mad at it.
