Season is over everybody. Shut it down.
S h i t fire. First game with new roster. That's what these early games are for. Find what combination you put in. We got a damn good coach. Any issues will be fixed.
I’m not even sure why we should complete the season. Just shut it down and start getting ready for next year

They went to a regional in 2022. This isn't a SWAC team. If you watch baseball enough, their guy on the bump tonight was better than many pitchers we will face this season.

Sorry guys at the plate didn't swing at sh** pitches(for the most part) got on base then put pressure on and got walked around the bases. Could the hitting have been better maybe, but love the discipline at the plate so far.
Hofstra's starter had a real-deal slider that broke hard and right at the very last. Not an easy pitch to start off the season on. We better get used to it though. There will be others who will throw it as well or better as the season progresses. Last year's team would have lost this game. BTW.....lot of high school baseball talent in the Long Island and NYC/Jersey area. The Big schools can't get them all.
If we sweep the DH today in convincing fashion, which has a pretty decent chance of happening, nobody will remember in a week that one of the Hofstra games was close.

EVERY team usually has at least one pitcher that can give you trouble. That's Baseball .
That’s my favorite kind of 1-0 start. Get the win, and leave unsatisfied. In football, this was Saban’s favorite type of game —- a win but terrible execution. Today should be different.
Thing is Hofstra pitched 4 pitchers. And the one people are saying is good, the starter, is the one pitcher we did hit a little. It was ugly. No way to sugarcoat it. But I’m not concerned. I’ve said for months that it will probably take this team a month to gel. We’re 12 hours in now.
All three hits were by Stallman and Reese. That screams nervous AB’s by all of our new guys.
Pitching was mostly fine, but where we a little shaky also involved guys in new spots. McPherson making his first start had an inning or two that was rocky, and Stone barely pitched last year at all. No coincidence that Davis, the most experienced guy, had the most success.
I don’t know if you’ll be able to judge very much about us until the Arlington tourney. These next two weeks are very much about guys trying to settle in, and avoiding bad losses.

One of the reasons for not doing pre-season rankings in baseball before games are played. This certainly isn’t the #4 team in the country. Need to buy pitching machines that throw hard sliders to hitters in the cages!!!
