After attending all three games against Hofstra, I feel better about our team for this season. I think hitting will improve and be OK and possibly pretty good. I think the best pitching rotation will be figured out and eventually be OK. Game 3 pitching today did leave something to be desired but, usually by Game 3 of a series, the other team’s pitching will also leave them struggling. Kirk was impressive pitching today and our closer (don’t remember his name) was fairly decent. We still have a few mental lapses in base-running and fielding but that’s to be expected at the beginning of the season. Everything will be good.
The really funny thing about this thread is if that the results of this weekend were literally the exact same, but Lemonis was still the coach, this entire board would be ready to burn the whole thing down.
You can’t come to any conclusion from the first three games good or bad.
If we lose to Troy, the trolls will emerge from their hibernation caves and begin belching and expelling noxious fumes.
Definitely a factor in why some of the new guys struggled here this weekend

Playing in front of 12k would have to speed you up some when you come from a place that apparently has a hard time matching a nice little league crowd on opening weekend.
There are people on this board that have forgotten more than I know about baseball, but I do know that making huge predictions based on the first weekend of college baseball is beyond dumb
