Creighton hit 21 of 35 3's against the #4 team in the country on the road last night.

We've hit 71 all year. If we only had 1 guy that could stick it from out there....

I'll second that..I was just thinking the other day about how different it would be with Steele still on the team.

I don't fault Rick Ray either on Steele. Steele didn't want to play this year b/c he felt he wasn't ready but Ray didn't have a scholarship for him next season.

We thought we had one in the months leading up to the season... Just like we thought we had a second big man as well...

Just add back the pieces that we lost "unexpectedly" this offseason and this is probably a solid NIT team.

Only if Steele and Lewis left their EGO at the door...cutting the cancer out is best in the long run.

Maybe on paper. But I think there were major chemistry issues that went away when Wendell and Jalen did.

Which games do you see them making that big of a difference in?

Utah State - our first true road game, tough environment; lost by 19
TCU - in my opinion our worst loss of the year; complete head scratcher; doubtful either of those guys would have offset how bad we played; lost by 10
UNLV - basically a road game; they shot well from three; lost by 16
Kentucky - leading at halftime, lost by 22
Alabama - Releford killed us, lost by 19

I think it's more likely that giving minutes to Jalen and Wendell would have resulted in a loss for a game that we won than the opposite. TCU is the only one I think a case can even be made for. Neither of them were going to defend the three in Vegas or Utah State, neither of them could have guarded Releford or provided any meaningful help, and the combination of them still doesn't put us in the same universe as Kentucky's talent.

Creighton has been a blast to watch over the last few years. McDermott is an absolute stud. Most productive and impressive player in college basketball.

Wragge can shoot it from anywhere(much like McDermott).

And they share and move the ball so well- their assist rate has to be way up near the top of all teams.

Grant Gibbs is one of the coolest players around in that he is not fast, not some light out shooter, but just plays tough as hell. He is the Ontario Harper of Creighton basketball too.
