And one has to sit out the first 1/3rd of the season. I hope Ray is out there offering every decent recruit in the country the chance to start and play 35 minutes a game.<div id="myEventWatcherDiv" style="display:none;"></div>

...it completely implodes. We had a double whammy hit us. First of all we had a dysfunctional program ran by a coach who is a pretty good recruiter and a bit of a good reputation. The dysfunction on the team starts the momentum. Suddenly, the coach that might have been able to quench the implosion is gone. The momentum increases. Gone too is the relationship with the recruits and the implosion process quickly accelerates. Now we cap it off with the hiring of a (no offense intended) green-as-grass unknown as head coach who does not have anywhere near the gravi tas required to stop the bleeding. These players now see a bare cupboard, led by a rookie HC and are bailing like rats off a burning ship until we are left with nothing. Again, I am not blaming Rick Ray nor do I refuse to support him whole-heartedly. But look, I know stans was an assistant when he was hired but it was way different because he was already on staff and had a relationship with the team and recruits so it was a much easier transition. I really don't know who's a fault here. I guess its a mixture of how stans left the program and our AD not able to make a name worthy hire. Ray might turn out to be the best we've ever had but the pathway to get there is steadily getting steeper and longer than anyone hoped it would be.
