And in fairness, I don't know why any of us should expect anything else. We hired someone that has never had this role to come into the SEC and turn around what many have labeled as an unprecedented situation. All with one of the smallest budgets in the conference and most things NIL/portal related working against him.
That said, this thing has shades of the Croom era all over again, and I get the feeling that Lebby's staff is going to tell us that they're getting "the guys that want to be here", that are willing to "outwork everyone else", or pick any other of the hundred coaching cliches that are used when you know that you're not competing with your counterparts.
He seems like a genuinely good dude, so I hope like hell that he figures it out, but when you go 2-10 in this league and come back to the fanbase with a plan to run it back with essentially everything that didn't work a season ago, that's not giving me the warm and fuzzies from a leader of one of out major sports program.
