I think everyone knows they will be a lot of changes before it's final. Maybe they will get in right before the end of the year.

Not really sure about some of those rankings but I guess the computers know best. At least they got the correct teams in now!

Our field looks really good. The Pisgah side has been packed for every home game .Guess we are just glad to be home after two years. Think we have a pretty good team this year and we will find out how good this Friday when we go to West Henderson.

I have seen Crest 4 times this year and seen south point play and seen hickory play so I’m going to watch the West Hendo vs Pisgah game this week. I agree 3a is stacked !!! I did watch a west play my wolverines but that wasn’t much a task for them tho.

Unfortunately the RPI plays a huge role in playoff seeding. Curious what was Dudley last week? They seemed to have dropped 10 spots in a weeks time.

Yea, I think Dudley is top 3 in the 3A, but their schedule is just terrible. That may cost them when it comes to seeding. It's not fully their fault though. Page is supposed to be good, Southeast Guilford has been good the past few seasons and now they're bad this year, and Hillside isn't themselves this year either. They'd be better off trying to play in the CPC imo.

The West is going to be brutal and it doesn’t much matter how the seeding goes except for the gas prices from traveling

Whoever comes out of the West in 3A is going to be one battle tested team. They might be way to battle tested and be beat down physically.

Brevard is 4-2, Hampton TN is 5-2, Hayesville is 4-2. I'd say those teams winning is helping.

Dudley should be challenging themselves better in the non conference scheduling. I've always been surprised Dudley haven't set up games with Reidsville, Grimsley or some teams in the 757. Dudley on a regular basis. Will always have the talent to compete with anybody.

Asheville middle might beat Asheville high lol that’s a loaded middle school team. Of course I’m joking about varsity now JV I bet would really be a game.

Yea I’ve given up on thinking middle school success will equal high school success. For 10 years our middle school is like 65-5 and then those same players get to JV and go 4-6 every year

The news reports about the murder on Dudley’s campus Friday night won’t help the perception of whether it’s a safe place to play. Perhaps it shouldn’t reflect on Dudley but perception is reality.

There’s so many variables at play and so many milestones kids need to hit for success at middle school to equate to success at the high school. Certain kids mature sooner than others and ultimately they peak too soon and never develop beyond middle school, which can make all the difference while you’re in middle school. Others transfer. Some drop out. Some end up specializing in other sports. I think in the end, there’s a lot of foundational pieces that are laid at the youth and middle school level but very rarely does middle school success tell the final story.

If they beat WH and win the conference they could go a little further. Teams who are seeded as a conference runner up or wild card will really have it tough in 3A. Even as a conference champ you could see KM, SP, or Crest early on depending who finishes 3rd in that conference.

Exactly. I'm not even trying to slight Pisgah. They are solid. But 3A is a beast with some of the added teams.

I agree but to be fair to Dudley they were playing a strong Hillside program that has fallen off this year from what it normally is most years. I do think Dudley should be playing Grimsley. Prior to Grimsley getting really good the Whirlies took Dudley off their schedule. I am pretty sure that Grimsley would not hesitate to play Dudley now that they have built their program up to powerhouse status. Both programs should be chomping at the bit to show everyone who’s the king of Greensboro football. For whatever reason I feel that the programs aren’t really in a rush to play each other. Dudley is 3A in name only so I think they really should be pushing for this game to happen.

Word on the street is Grimsley really don't want no smoke with the DBOYZ! They just talk. Coach Davis never ran from competition.

Dudley use to play Grimsley every year, they were actually in the same Conference several times. From 2004 to 2016 they played every year, Dudley was 11-2 against them, winning the last 9. After 2016, Grimsley took Dudley off the schedule. That wasn't Dudley's doing. Dudley use to travel down to Raleigh and play Wakefield. Down to Fayetteville and play Pine Forest. We played Richmond County twice several years back. Down to Durham and play Hillside, Southern Durham & Northern Durham. Davie County, Northern Guilford. Most of those teams took Dudley off their schedule, not Dudley removing them. Hillside and Dudley have been playing since the 1950's before Segregation ended, They have a History like NCAT & NCCU. Page and Southeast are City Rivals, their districts touch one another to the east and west. However, I would like to see them removed, except Hillside. Replace Page and Southeast with Reidsville and teams like Eastern Alamance, West Forsyth or East Forsyth. When Dudley was placed in this current Conference, many people was upset at Dudley because everyone knew if would be a Cupcake Conference, other than Eastern Guilford. Even though Mt. Tabor had our number, we knew they made us better against other teams. That was the NCHSAA doing not ours.

Well if they go by strength of schedule.ACR should be up.there.Even though were 3a played tough 4a opponents at start of season.
