Would you move on from Shapen and start building for the future ?
No, this year was never going to be much. Throwing a young guy to the wolves would be completely idiotic. Getting your brains beat in does not improve you. If we had a throw away game Against a bad opponent, then yeh. We dont have one.

There was no way to tell from that replay if it was good or not. Only one who could tell for sure was the ref under the post.

It’s a bit ridiculous that they don’t have cameras on the goal post looking straight up to aid with those calls. Just mount a damn GoPro on the back of each post about 5 feet below the top, looking straight up the edge.
And if you watched the replay the ref didn’t have a clue. The refs were looking at each other waiting for the other to make the call. I’m pretty familiar with photography angles. The angle they showed makes that look more outside than it was, it was shot slightly from the left of dead center. It looked Good as shown. Given the angle it was definitely good.

Florida is trying to hand us the game and we just refuse to take it. We (and maybe Kentucky) are the only 2 teams in the sec that could lose to them today. Embarrassing quarterback play and embarrassing playcalling bringing in Shapen on 4th and 2 doing that Mickey Mouse sh*t. Biggest derp off of the year.

Have you forgotten the last 1:57 of regulation of the TN game, with 3 timeouts and three straight throws while we were running the ball well? I would say second worst derp of the year!
🤣

Ref that the ball went over was not in the right location as well

This is what we’ve all been expecting to show up eventually. Look absolutely pathetic against a terrible team with a lame duck coach.

I’m assuming the refs looking at each other is what they always do to make sure they make the same call. Undoubtedly it was close. My guess is that the right post ref was telling the other guy he thought it was a bit outside, so they ruled no good.

The only thing we know for certain is the kick started outside the upright, and it certainly ended up inside the upright before it landed in the net or the stands or whatever. But its impossible to know if it was inside the upright when it crossed the plane of the post.

They hesitated too long, they had no idea and jsit made a call. Honestly that’s what they have to do In that situation. That doesn’t mean we can’t call them in it though.

Can we not tell the OL to fire off if a DL rocks forward. Worst case, we’re punting from 5 yards back. Who cares?

You have to fire him if we finish 0-8 in the SEC again.
You can’t. That would mean the last three coaches we have had who didn’t die in the saddle were fired after no more than two years. Not even blue bloods can get away with that. It would be absolutely insane for us.
