Message: <blockquote data-quote="The Bell Tolls for Thee" data-source="post: 129398539" data-attributes="member: 1812660"><p>Throwing deep on 3rd down isn't working, but I think its because Howard and the coaching staff know the limitation we have a QB.  As we've seen all season, Howard cannot throw a quick out, drag route, or quick slant with any consistency .... which is exactly the kind of throws you need for those 3rd and short situations.  I'm not sure what the solution is outside of continuing to lament on how we have whiffed on any decent QB prospect over the last 4 years.  Maybe roll-outs so Howard doesn't have to throw over the line, but that unfortunately eliminates half the field as Howard has no chance of going opposite field with his arm strength.  It may just be hopeless.</p></blockquote><p></p>
