I’ll be there. In the rafters, but in the house for history.

Troy and Nebraska had two common opponents. Western Georgia and USC. Troy lost to both of them in a total of 5 OTs. W. Ga was at Troy, USC was the home team.

Nebraska beat both of those teams comfortably - albeit not really putting either away until the 2nd half.

The post above yours says they aren’t physically tough. ???

I don't know that they are physical, but statistically they are a very good offensive rebounding team. They had 25 offensive boards against USC and 17 against San Diego State.

Maybe I'm just having flashbacks to two years ago when Texas A&M killed us on the offensive boards. And drained 13 three-pointers on us even though everyone said they were a poor shooting team. I get similar vibes with Troy.

It's also hard not to be nervous when we came out and played like absolute crap the last two times we made the NCAA Tournament. You can tell the pressure of getting that first NCAA win affected them. And this time we are the favorite. Troy will come out loose with nothing to lose.

MSU. 25 wins. Gets a 3 seed and opens with NDSU. NU 26 wins. 4 seed and Troy. 🤔. Reasons for that?

Michigan State may not deserve a #3, but Nebraska wasn't next in line to get one anyway.

Instead of starting all the excuse-making-in-advance like two years ago, let's just go win a damn game, then take out a #5 seed that I would consider much more beatable than the other 5s.

****** luck happens some times, but 99% of the time the lower seed needs to just take care of their own business.

Play our A or B game and we will be fine. If we are going to stand around and watch Pryce run around trying to get open and then have Garcia chucking up shots to beat the shot clock, wouldnt matter who we played. Hit open 3's and maybe strive for 2 out of 3 free throws? Or is that asking too much?

Gotta play Troy. Tough matchup.
After going 6-6, the Huskers got as good of a draw as they could have hoped for. They can beat Troy. And playing Vandy with the Vandals not getting much prep time and in front of a pro-Husker crowed-- I like our chances there. As far as Sweet 16 goes, we should all be happy if they get that far! But playing one seed Florida in Houston is actually better than playing 2nd seed Houston in Houston.

I'm hoping that this team comes out hot and gets their mojo back on Thursday. It could be a fun weekend.

If anyone deserved a 3 seed was Arkansas. Hogs tied for 2nd and won the SEC tournament and the eye test looks like their the next best team in the SEC after the Gators.

Gonzaga was over rated 3 seed.

Not that well against Purdue and UCLA, and those are our recent games. I’m not trying to be a downer, but I don’t like the way Nebraska has ended the season. I’m a bit pessimistic, obviously. I’m hoping our tougher schedule prepared Nebraska to beat a team like Troy, but if we play like we did over the last 3-4 games, it could be trouble.
Heck, the six losses were to a one seed, two losses to a 2nd seed, one loss to a 3rd seed Illinois that everyone seems to love. The losses to Iowa and UCLA were a tad ugly, but those were two road games against two tournament teams. It does seem like the team got worn down, but these extra days off should help with that. They need some kids to come out playing with that high level of confidence that they displayed in the first 21 games.

I agree about Gonzaga, but the committee had to give Purdue a #3 that it can beat.

Surprised they put us in the earliest game. You'd think they would put us in prime time with the way that Huskers athletics get TV ratings.

It's good for OKC businesses, though. That means all the Husker fans will have to drive down on Wednesday already. A lot of people in Nebraska going to be calling in sick on Thursday morning.
Probably precisely why they did it. We're used to 11 am games for fb. Tv executives know what they're doing

I’ve always hated having our tournament game on Thursday, especially early. Just as the tournament starts, we are out.

So you're saying people should start b!tching about the officials as soon as possible.

I’ve had a hard time summoning this too. We have head to head over them and a record as good as them yet they’re constantly ahead of us in seedings. I don’t get it.

Came down more to where the Huskers were going to play OKC seems like the logical decision by the committee.

I would imagine OKC will be packed with Husker fans and a lot of the times, if you want my advice, try to get tickets from the smaller schools that will be there.

We would get them from Portland State and Detroit Mercy, places like that. They are dying to get rid of their tickets.

Troy has only hit double digit 3's 3 times in their last 14 games. They are a below average 3 point team. They better be very efficient on offense and hope the refs let them maul Sandfort like Big 10 refs did at the end of the season.
