Looks like Dixon is still third string even though Coffee quit. Michael Robinson(Penn St., 5 yrs. exp.) appears to be 2nd string... at least for now.

Took himself out of the game - looked like he was hobbling a little. Welcome to the NFL, AD.

Making some good runs here at the end of the half... 49ers having some trouble in pass protection.

Scored from 6 yards out. Broke a tackle and then stiff armed another guy to get in the endzone. Looking good today.

Broke a tackle and had a nice stiff-arm to get in the end-zone. I know he's not running against the 1st team D or anything, but this is a very solid first performance. There are going to be a lot of teams kicking themselves for not drafting him earlier.

Caught the tail end of the game on Sirius radio. 49ers announcers called Dixon "a revelation" and said if he kept this us and could pick up the blitz, he not only could spell Frank Gore, but could even play alongside him.

Not sure if they were Indy or 49'rs announcers, didn't watch all of it, but got the impression that they were Indy announcers. He had a great day. Showed grit playing banged up, but represented himself well.

Anthony Dixon is a god. He just ran into the end zone for a 5-yard score and delivered a knock out stiff arm to defensive back Mike Newton. Wow. This Dixon guy is unbelievable."

Played at Trinity Episcopal in Natchez with Stevan Ridley. I think Jackie offered him as a DB. He ended up at Northwestern St. He's physically very talented.

They did. They also said that Singletary likes getting players from Michigan State, and they got a steal with Dixon.

If he gets to play, Gruden gave Williams the opportunity, Dixon has the sort of skill needed in the Pro's, yards after contact, you aren't going to outrun the defense and holes are fleeting.

I don't think he'll ever get over this, but if he keeps making runs like that touchdown, it won't matter.
