SWE travels to Wilson to visit the Wilson Prep Tigers in the very first matchup between the schools. Prep is coming off of its first victory of the season, clipping Farmville Central. However, they have had the the most brutal schedule of any 1A school by far, so their 1-4 record is a little deceiving. They also made it to the Eastern Finals last year, falling to Tarboro. I don't doubt that they are well prepared to run through the 1A portion of their schedule, as well as the playoffs. I think they will represent the east in the 1A championship.

SWE has a 2-2 record, but has yet to actually lose fair and square. One loss is due to a forfeit (won on the field), and the other loss was called in the 3rd quarter while trailing (shooting incident). It hurts me to type those two loss, but it is what it is.
SWE comes in off of a dominant 43-0 performance over lowly conference foe North Lenoir. The Cougar defense has been their bread and butter, having given up only 2 touchdowns in 4 games so far, both being to Tarboro. Even then, 1 of those came from a red zone turnover (20 yards). Driving down the field has been an issue for the opposition. I believe more of the same will occur tonight.

I'm excited to visit a school for the first time. Will keep you posted.
