Who will be the top dominant teams in 4A in the up coming season. Will Cardinal Gibbons have a repeat Championship year. What Charlotte teams will be on the lookout for 2022. How about teams up in the Forsyth and Greensboro area. Also Asheville had a good season last year. What will they have coming back. Asheville Reynolds were young last year but could they be a team on the rebound up in the western N.C. area. Any Eastern teams that could make a good run. Just thoughts on the upcoming season.

This is one time I hope I am wrong but I don’t see the raiders in the mix . Only because they are young but they will make it to the playoffs maybe to 2nd round
Best 4a in the mountains this year will be Asheville, they're really talented and will bring back one of the best athletes in the state in Conley. Heard rumors too that they have hit the transfer portal hard. Reynolds will be good but lost starting QB to a private school, no clue who is the starter there. If the Cougars can stay healthy they could be a tough out.

Creek will start off with Myers Park, than travel to Buford Ga, who has won 14 State Championships since 2000, Buford returning over 15 FBS kids on the roster. Along with scrimmaging State Champs Cardinal Gibbons, and top 10 South Carolina team Spartanburg. We'll know who we are before entering into conference play.
New Bern and Hoggard will be the best 2 teams south of Raleigh. Hoggard could be better than last years team and will find out quickly where they are when they play SC and WF in weeks 2 and 3.
Same as last year with a very humbling result!

Robbinsville should probably be a little better than last years team.
ACR will be okay, defense returns 8 starters from a good defense last year. Offense will be the question, I’ve heard some changes on offense are coming but I have zero idea what that means, coaches, scheme, play calling, I have no clue. We did lose our QB from what I heard but I also hear we have a capable one ready to go. Again can we score this year will be the question.
Was very impressed with freshman RB last year. Give him 25 touches a game and the Rockets will be fine
Freshman RB is very good. The kid can do it all. I expect him to have a big breakout season, the defense for Reynolds will be very good.
Hopefully this year they can have some run defense. I love it when the 1A schools beat up on the big bad 4A schools! haha
I believe this is the year for New Bern to make a championship run!
Offense wasn’t the issue. The 4/5 turnovers in the playoffs and the injury to one of the best defenders in the state did them in.
Robbinsville qb this year SHOULD be better than last years. About 6’3 or 6’4 and decently mobile. I imagine he’s probably a little stronger than last years too. Also add another running back that will be pick up right where cutler Adams leaves it as long as he stays healthy. Will still be pretty decently young as well.
It did against Rolesville. Rolesville defense wasn’t much to write home about. Had NB won they would not have run all over CG.
Look, NB was very good and I expect them to be very good this coming year. It’s hard to win it all. It’s even more difficult if your one demential. I’m not saying it can’t be done but it is very very difficult.
But how many teams ran/threw all over CG last year? Again, our offense wasn’t the problem last year. CG has been a bad matchup for us the last few years as they’ve been almost for everyone else during that time. If the defense stays healthy, it could be a special year for the Bears.
Mooresville will once again be a underrated/Under the rader team..... I really love all the off season stuff Mooresville had done, Moral is up and A lot changes and positive stuff is happening.
Mooresville returns a solid core (Minus WR/ and O line is still questionable imo) With a QB coming back off injury and returning some solid RBs , Mooresville O should be solid and Defense will be good still lead by Caleb Edstrom (who was 1 of the 5 LB in the HBCU Camp hosted by CLT insiders).
Mooresville is a TEAM and Looking like its about WE not ME type team this year so I think all this positive stuff will feed into the actual season...

Should be a very good game this year. Not much of a game last year, as Weddington won 28-7. Providence Day has quite a few new additions, along with 5 Star QB, ranked #2 in the Nation, Huge OL, and 2, 4 star wr's. Weddington very well coached, but not very athletic. I believe, I'll attend this game.
