How do these guys keep falling for the flops on 3 point shots?

It always amazes me there's 3 of them watching a section of the floor each, yet coaches who are stationary watching the entire floor, the offense and defense, from the other side of the court can see things they can't.

Referee's have no feel for the game whatsoever

Hell F’In yes!! I’m glad they made me eat crow!! Did they turn a corner?

I think a bit. I always believe there's like 4 or 5 hurdles for every UK team to pass. I think they definitely passed one. They held Auburn to 59 and really ratcheted up the defense. We just about won wire to wire.

The good news is we will get to the high teens in rankings, got a Quad 1 win, and also stayed in the hunt for a double bye.

And we did this with the same typical SEC officiating. At the 15:55min mark in the 2nd half we already had 5 fouls. They did another 5 on 4 stoppage on us, KD Johnson got away with an awful flop, Reed got called because a 3pt shooter kicked his leg out, and they hacked and slapped us to death. We had a few calls go our way, admittedly.. but it was roughly a 8-10pt advantage for Auburn.

It is utterly stupid how many times a play gets stopped for us. It’s not even funny, it happens in no other games I watch.

I do believe the refs gave Auburn more leeway when it came to contact.

Oh and Auburn had some other dirty plays. Aside from the flop (which was fully confirmed on the replay), KD was jawing at an official over something he didn't like from Dilly (?) having the ball on offense. Dilly goes to drive by him and KD clearly does an intentional swip, not even really at the ball, just out of frustration.

ANother play was an F1 when UK was on a breakaway, and an auburn player just jumped with his shoulder into our guy, with zero play on the ball.

Just classless basketball. It takes a HECK of a lot of poise to deal with that. Props to our team. This is a game they lose earlier in the year for sure.
