1. Control their pass rush off the edge. That's the one thing I think we saw JState do well against us Saturday and that is a strength of this Auburn team. Lemonier is probably getting excited just watching game film this week.
2. Get better play out of Cam Lawrence Lutzenkirchen is going to watch that touchdown he gave up and know exactly how to hurt us. Cam has to be better in pass coverage and more aggressive against the run. Making arm tackles 8 years deep isn't going to cut it. I think the #10 v. #43 matchup this week is the most important one, especially on 3rd downs and in the red zone.
3. Wide Receivers have to get open quicker and more often. I know we have been waiting on this and waiting on this but if we expect Tyler Russell to get rid of the ball faster (something that almost made my list) they have to give him an opportunity. Plain and simple. Screens aren't going to be enough to beat AU.
4. Corey Broomfield has to play better zone coverage. I realize we ran a very "vanilla" defense Saturday night but if we expect to win Saturday we can't let another sub par Auburn QB tear our zone apart. JSU was a few dropped passes away from some big pass plays, Auburn isn't dropping those balls.
5. Run the ball first and pass second. Auburn gave up 320 yard on the ground last week. 320. 231 to one guy. With the strength of our offense appearing to be Running Back we have to pound it to open up the pass. If we control the clock with our running game I think our defense can keep Frazier in check.
