That’s the only reason for this move, not the fans.
How does Northam benefit from the VHSL making more money? And wouldn't they have done this before last weekend, as that money also goes to VHSL.(or at least it used to. I had to pay them to broadcast a state semifinal)

$ does go to VHSL. They use these funds to operate. Without these $ some one would need to contribute from some level. I would assume to avoid a bad publicity event of bankrupting the VHSL Northam gave in to the 1,000. A week earlier of course would have added $60,000 more to VHSL coffers. But no one of course is a real accountant at the Commonwealth.

VHSL is a self supporting division of one of the UVA entities.

Tough to self support with little revenue stream and forgoing $60k last week.
Few years ago they lost all football championship revenue when they had bad weather and let everyone in free.
Sure VHSL is pretty solid financially.

That guy is just a chronic complainer. Complained when they didn't raise attendance numbers and now when they do. It all boils down to he hates the Governor no matter what he does.

Tommy, that relationship ended many, many years ago. There is no longer any affiliation with UVA.

Come on guys, some of you are still thinking that for some reason the VHSL has been responsible for limiting attendance. The truth is that the restrictions are 100% controlled by Govenor Northam and his administration. Nothing could be further from the truth than to say that the League had any control over the attendance. They may be worthy of criticism for other policies that you disagree with, but they are blameless on the attendance issue.

Yep, Northam is clueless on the impact on the businesses here and the number failures on his questionable policies. Where do you live?

Try guidestar.org. VHSL also has a foundation. If you find anything please post a link.
Thanks, registered on that site. Form 990 latest year is 2018. (Filed 2019). Wished it was more current. That year net revenue of expenses about a little over $500k and net assets about $3.5 million. In an extended pandemic I’m sure there is serious reduction of amounts. The 2020 990 is want I would like to see. Maybe next year it will be listed. Foundation was also listed , very small numbers.

I just checked now, still not sold out!!! I know for our game many Lafayette fans bought on Lord Botetourt site,

That's sad. Whether any of us agree with the spectator limit, there is a limit. And taking limited tickets from the opponent is a crappy thing to do. And that has NOTHING to do with which team does it.

No it’s not Gunz lol... I’m not going to debate you but this isn’t a moral issue. If there’s tickets left, get them. I was able to get two Salem tickets and there’s still more to buy. I doubt very seriously SouthbottomU or Freeatlast are looking for me to beat my azz for buying them 😂

Whatever you say. He said their fans got on LB site. I took that to mean instead of Lafayette (i.e. taking away from LB). Which is different to me than a casual fan (not related to either program). And it's easy to assume that every program is handling tickets the same way.

If this is not the case, then I am wrong (I know most people won't admit that) and apologize.
