Yeah and there are other stations struggling with even getting a strong signal within Omaha as well. Finding a good station to listen to Husker games locally in Omaha is painful... just keep scrolling until you hear Kent... drive a block and your signal gets static. Serious radio issues in Omaha. Even 1620 has the range of a scud missile... good luck getting it to come in within 30 miles of Omaha without a ton of static.Gonzo. static filled airwaves - at least in Omaha area.

It ran from 1924 until about a week agoDamn. It’s been around forever.
This is the biggest one. I feel like sense of community has been exponentially reduced over the last 25 years. Maybe not as bad in the small towns, everyone still knows everyone out in the panhandle where my family lives, but when I was in Omaha I hardly knew anybody in my neighborhood. Most of the people wouldn't wave or wave back when I'd wave passing by running or driving. Heck, even growing up on military bases, the sense of community was a lot stronger than it was when I was serving myself. Technology took away a lot of peoples' interpersonal communication skills.Next door neighbors knowing each other having conversations.

Do teenagers or early 20 somethings even care about cars anymore? The days of kids longing or saving for a car, fixing it up, customizing, taking pride in owning it, etc. seem long gone. Some parents still buy their kids new/nice cars or give them nice hand-me-downs, and they aren't complaining, but it seems way different. My first car was my baby, but I can't remember the last time I saw a teenager out washing/waxing their car.Actually modding your V8 for more power and i'm not talkin about a fart can. Swappin intakes, headers, Edelbrock, air shocks....dual exhaust... and if you're lucky like i was, you did it with your dad.
You put your thumb on glowing metal?Cigarette lighters in cars that every kid burned their thumb on.
On that note, maybe driving soon.Actually modding your V8 for more power and i'm not talkin about a fart can. Swappin intakes, headers, Edelbrock, air shocks....dual exhaust... and if you're lucky like i was, you did it with your dad.

I saw a kid with a modded out 98 Lexus SC 300 this morning. I thought wtf? Really? You’re not pulling any fur with that.Do teenagers or early 20 somethings even care about cars anymore? The car was "freedom" back then but I think now, it is the cell phone.Do teenagers or early 20 somethings even care about cars anymore? We would use that car lighter as a weapon vs siblings!!!You didn't?
In college me and friend got a black box, so we got all the channels for free...one day Spice or Playboy cam in and it was not scrambled...We were terrified that if we changed the channel we would lose it forever...so we just kept it on that channel for like 2 days. Then it went away again.Giving ****** my pager number at Guitars and Cadillacs.

Dang. So what happens to that frequency. I'm no expert but aren't radio frequencies given out by the federal government? Seems like there's always a station that will rise up to take that frequency? 590 was a pretty powerful signal. It's not just going away, is it?They pulled the plug 6 or 7 days ago and tower site was sold
