From what I saw, it was a good game. Both sides played tough on D, but Rville was just stronger. Murphy had a case of the dropsies on the kickoff and I think another one was on a punt, but could be wrong with that one. Definitely cost themselves some opportunities by not holding onto the ball. Practicing that pooch kickoff would help. Almost have to have your hands team out there.

I feel Murphy should put in a few more pass plays and they could probably come out on top. Saw a couple of passes flat out dropped. I told a friend of mine all Rville needs to do on the touchdown Murphy scored is not let them throw a 30yd TD and that's exactly what happened.

Looking forward to the playoffs now will actually bring some excitement to a weird season.

Hats off to Robbinsville that’s a fine team they have up there. Murphy had some unforced turnovers as well as one where the rb for Murphy got popped. Sure both teams where missing pieces but it’s all part of 1A football when u get 7 games into a season. Hopefully we will get a round 2.

Congratulations to my Knights. Great effort and didn’t quit all night. Tough as nails. #4 for Robbinsville has the potential to become one of the best players Robbinsville has ever had. I bet he had close to 15-20 tackles last night. Murphy played hard. Have some great athletes. Rumfelt kid has a cannon. Game was worth the price of admission. They will meet again in the playoffs and it will be another great game.

Well Mitchell is better in 1aa traditionally, but this team seems better equipped to play smash mouth than years past.

Robbinsville is the best team in the west until someone proves different going to robbinsville and winning is a tall order. I think Mitchell vs robbinsville is an interesting game. Styles make fights. I’m not sure our offense is as good as years past our defense maybe better due to linebacker play

Maybe I am just a bad fan, but I agree with Mhsneer. I think the Mitchell offense will struggle with either SMC team. Man it would be nice to get over that hump.

Saw the game...#20 didn't get popped. He had a cast on his left hand. Must have broken last week. I wondered why he wasn't running the ball more. I guess that's why. Kid had to feel bad losing that one.

Outside looking in...seems the damage with murphy was losing two of the best receivers in WNC. However, they do not pass often.

Wow you must have watched a different game..that is if you are talking about the fumble Murphy lost inside the red zone..kid got lit up..bad

Ok.
Fair enough ole buddy ..so Murphy averages near 300 yds rushing per game..they were held to 88 yds.(most of that on 2 carries)
Without Robbinsvilles best defensive lineman playing ..
I think that deserves a pat.
O yeah, who scores all Murphys points? They were averaging 44 points a game..they scored 7 pts.

Most insane post I have seen in awhile. Murphy’s backfield might be down a little from last year but they always produce good backs

There is always excuses from someone. They got outplayed. If it had been the other way around, I’d say the same thing.

You might be right BK, we'll see, both teams have work to do in the interim. Either way that would certainly be something different considering your very best teams only beat Murphy by 1 or 2 scores. Robbinsville hasnt beaten Murphy by more than 11 points since 1999 and that was the only time Robbinsville has beaten Murphy by more than 2 scores since 1981.

I'll take 7-4 over the last 11.
You can highlight those 4 blow outs over Robbinsville but 2 of the 4 was 28-14
And 28-06.

You got some yeller glasses on if you dont see a big change in this matchup over the last few years. Robbinsville dont need 460 kids or an EC.
Nobody wants to see Robbinsville with 500 kids. Hell we already putting more kids on the mat and field than most bigger schools.
