Without Mag there is just not enough bench scoring. We have little room for error with the starters needing to score. Cam needs to be scoring double digits
100%. And as many have posted Cliff needs to be on the court and getting more close looks. The NBA development efforts from away from the rim need to stop. Time for everyone to do their job and stop the experiments.

Out rebounded 37 - 31. WOW.

Looking like a team that will stumble into the tournament . Dayton might be our destiny. Committee seeds based on your team and takes injuries into account.

Excessively overworking on defense takes its toll. We are seeing that. Tired. Dumb slap happy fouls. No legs on shots. Missing layups. Lots of standing around ISO 2nd half. That only works when you have “that guy” no one can stop. Won’t work.

So far we are scoring less than 65 and allowing more than 65. It's clearly impacting us on both ends
Clearly we had many games like this and worse before he got hurt. Especially on the road minus the Iowa game. We scored 43 pts at home vs SHU who were not nearly as good as Indiana and Illinois. At home!

I’m a huge Mag fan but I’m not giving up on this season.

relax francis....you can say this if rutgers loses to Nebraska but not before....at this moment RU is still a 6/7
A 6 or 7 without mag? Remember the committee seeds taking injuries into the equation. If you’re saying we are a 6 or 7 seed based on our body of work? Is that what you’re saying? Because if it is we are 0-2 without mag and probably on the 10 line

Dramatic much?
Could also just as easily been three games on the road in a week?
We did beat MSU after Mag hurt and down eight in second half.
Offense bigger issue than D.

What planet are you from ? Not the way we played the last 2 games. Or 4 out of the last 7 games.

Defense does the trick fine when you can play it well for 40 minutes. The problem is that the loss of Mag makes it so that we can’t. We can play great defense for most of a game, but at some point Cliff and Caleb have to sit. Pike wants to get the stretches with these guys out overwith rather than sit each of them individually and be without one or the other for a longer stretch of time. I get that. But it just hasn’t worked. The defense has been dreadful with 2 of 3 Wolf/Oskar/Reiber

70 points is the magic number for this team. We can do it!
We've done that twice in B1G play for wins.
I think we need to step up defense and keep opponents below 70 to Win.

More faith that we can defend vs score better

If the tourney was selected today, Rutgers last 6 seed or first 7 seed

Same old folks showing the gloom and doom after 2 expected losses and a major injury. Maybe we should see how we play non top 25 competition to see how things are in reality.

You do realize that we still have six games to play before the B1G 10 tournament?? And in all of these games we'll either be favored or it'll be a toss up? If we stumble into the tournament after these next six maybe we don't even belong in the tournament. We just lost two close road games against teams that will be in the NCAAs, not some crap Quad 4 losses. These two schools beat teams like UCLA, Texas, Xavier and North Carolina.
I have confidence in these kids and Pike.
We'll go at least 4-2 in these games, get to 20 wins and then let's go on to Chicago and let's win there.

If so, the same committee will need to consider the 0-2 vs. Temple/Miami without Paul/Caleb (injuries) and that lovely stolen win vs. OSU. I'll trade for 3-2 for those 5 games.

I don't think so. I believe you're saying the committee will consider all 5 and treat them as something other than loses? I don't trust them THAT much.
I am saying the committee seeds taking current injuries into account . Why would it different for rutgers

I'm not sure they do that as much with this NET system as they once did. I certainly hope they do as I said we had 5 loses effected (4 by injury and 1 direct by the zebras)

@bac2therac ?
